  1. Do 4, I guarantee noone is shimmying up that much. I hate it when I forget my extra steps lol.
  2. Calling for it tomorrow too
  3. I just almost had Diet Coke come out of my nose
  4. Its obvious what it is! A mountain Lion scratching post. Must be some catnip growing nearby...
  5. Take the stand and leave a note on the tree with your phone number. Tell them to call you to come and get it. That way, you know who it is and can explain things to them directly.
  6. 3 1/2 or older Id say. Tough to really tell at that angle.
  7. Oh good lord, when did I imply that? Dont get so butt hurt.
  8. They do make that. Its a section that you buy separately, and the center 2 steps are removable. Ive seen them at Dicks and I believe Gander Mountain. http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=13217325&cp=4406646.4413993.4414427.4414432
  9. Again, making it inaccessible is not the same as creating a trap. BTW, just because the land isnt posted, doesnt give you or anyone, the right to trespass.
  10. There are 4 road kills between the I90 on ramp and the Rush exit on 390
  11. Hey look Culver, you just showed a perfect exaple of there not being the notorious gap between the lungs and spine! Great pic, should be added to the Deer Anatomy thread.
  12. Putting something on your treestand to make it inaccessible is not making a trap. If you put a trap door on it, or spikes or something else intended to harm someone, then yes. What the OP is thinking is no different than locking a door.
  13. Im a deer hunter. When I fill my doe tags, its mostly for meat, and Ill take the doe that gives me the best shot. If I have multiple good shots available, Ill take the biggest one in the group. When Im hunting for bucks, Im selective. I dont look down on anyone for their personal harvest goals. I get frustrated when I see some of the younger bucks on the farm fall to the guys that put zero time in, but what am I really going to do about it? They have permission to hunt there too, and are happy with what they took, so I congratulate them and move on.
  14. Ive had them do both. Generally, Ive noticed they try to make it to thick cover.
  15. Theres an easier way to keep others out of your stands. Remove the bottom section of ladder sticks, or if you use screw in steps, take the bottom 4 steps with you when you leave. Your idea is an interesting concept, but its bulky, heavy and would be a pain to deal with in the dark.
  16. It only makes hunting captive boars illegal. Not feral hogs, which is what they become once they are out of the enclosure.
  17. The number doesnt include guests, its members signed in, not users online. So yes, they were logged on. And it ended up hitting a high of 379 yesterday at one point.
  18. X3 on locking them up. Locks arent going to prevent all theft, but they do prevent most of it.
  19. Did you go out and shoot at some targets to see where you are at?
