  1. They also have a find local retailer option on their site. I get mine locally.
  2. At my evening spot. The wind is in favor for making a move on my target buck tonight. I'm in a pinch point 70 yards from his bed. There's a corn field to my left and a hay field that he frequents behind me. If he heads to either of them he should walk right by me. I saw his tracks all over the place on the way in. This stand has only been hunted once this year. Just need him to show...
  3. Yesterday I got into my stand a little later than I wanted to. I've seen deer from this stand every sit so far and yesterday was no exception. I had 4 doe in front of me but none presented a shot. The wind picked up through the morning and I finally had enough. I got down and did some scouting on the way out. Found a ton of good scrapes and a couple of really big ones. I will hang my cams on them when I have a chance. I got back to the truck and headed to the other farm to try and find a spot out of the 30 mph gusts. I got to the farm and headed toward a new set that we hung this year. It sits in a creek bottom just at the bottom of a ridge. On the way in I stopped to take a couple of pics of the new woods trail we planted in feed oats this year. Looks pretty good. So I got up in my stand and had no action for the mid day. I'll be back in there when it's not so windy.
  4. Just had this young buck walk through.
  5. In the stand I killed my doe out of earlier in the season. Saw 3 new scrapes on the way in. Already had deer walk through 2 shooting lanes. Owls hooting all around. Great start to the day.
  6. Had some does come through and leave a while ago. The stand is swaying pretty good.
  7. Yeah waving a baseball bat around in an empty room is never fun
  8. Neither. I like them to be like their hands. Small.
  9. I didnt make anything out to be any way, you got butt hurt over my disagreeing with you. Sorry Charlie. Like I said, if you arent a fan boy, there was no reason to take exception to what I said. Again, what generalizations am I trying to make into facts? Answer the question or zip it.
  10. Im all about keeping my hands in the muff
  11. Belo, you are saying lodged in the biscuit like its a typical thing that happens. It doesnt. Its about as typical as a drop away's string breaking. Can it happen? Yes. Will it if you are paying attention to what you are doing? No. When you draw the bow back would it become dislodged? Absolutely. Would it make as much of a difference as a drop away malfunctioning in some way? No, it wouldnt.
  12. Simple, Ive had others shoot it. I didnt call you a fanboy, so my comments dont apply to you.
  13. I use the spray to avoid any wetness/freezing issues in cold weather. I dont have issues with noise even when I havent sprayed it for a long time. What "unfounded facts" are you talking about. If youre not a "fan boy" then why would anything I said offend you in any way? I wasnt talking about you, of course, unless the shoe fits. Please Shawn, enlighten me about archery equipment with your vast knowledge gained over years of experience. LMAO
  14. I dont like heavy gloves unless my hands will be exposed alot. I use the hand muff and a pair of lightweight gloves most of the time. Sometimes I just use the muff and thats all. Toss a couple of heat packs in there, and youll be good to go.
  15. The only places I have heard of that are using them are cities. Rochester has a system, and I believe Bufflao and Syracuse do as well. I have not heard of any of the systems being setup in rural areas.
  16. Your sights wont be off in a treestand, and the bow wont shoot differently, its your form. Plain and simple, bend at the waist, not through your shoulders. If you need more angle, bend your knees a bit along with your waist. You basically need to keep your upper body squared up, in the same form as if you are shooting level. The only adjustment I make when shooting out of a stand, is I shoot for my exit point, not the entrance. Culver posted a good diagram of why in another thread.
  17. You have it wrong, the people that hate on them are generally the drop away fan boys. Im not saying everyone that uses a drop away, I mean the people that buy into a certain brand or type of item and then blindly bash anything else, usually with having no experience with said item. Its like the guys that hate on every brand of bow that they dont shoot. As far as the rest goes, Its simple, accurate, and it works. The "quiet" thing is nonsense. Stand 3 or 4 feet away from someone drawing with a WB, you wont hear anything. The only reason the shooter might hear anything is because the arrow and bow are right next to their ear. My bow sounds loud to me when I shoot it, but stand back a few feet and its pretty damn quiet. Same thing.
  18. I highly doubt cell towers are going to have shot detectors on them. With the limited DEC funds these days, I cant see them using a helicopter to check for poaching. Doesnt sound right to me.
  19. HP or Lenovo, they are the brands I use at work for 99% of my clients. The only time I get them anything else is if they request it, or if its something like a Toughbook or other specialty application.
  20. We were all frosty this morning. Almost slipped on the deck walking out the door.
  21. Which Viper is it? The Classic, SD or SD Ultimate? I can see its not the Elite. Theres a big diff in prices.
  22. Yeah for the albino animal
