All this rain is keeping my water bill down. I had to redo a section of my front lawn, and have only had to water the grass seed 4 or 5 times total. Sure, a section of my back yard is a swamp that I have yet to be able to mow this year, but Ill take a bad patch of lawn over spending money for water any day.

I dont know, maybe Im misreading it, but I dont think I am.

I guess you are misunderstanding what the law changes. It has nothing to do with physical altercations. If this passes, you can be arrested for flipping an officer the bird, or cursing at them, and charged with a class E felony. Say you ask an officer a question, and they dont want to answer, then you ask again or ask why they wont answer. That could be construed as "annoying" the office. Bam, class E felony. The wording of this law is way too general and open to interpretation.

The only way any of thoise incidents happened was due to lack of safe handling of the firearm. You are wrong about a bow being any safer than a gun or crossbow. They are equally as dangerous when handled or used improperly and without regard for safety. As far as crossbows go, there are more than one state that already allow them. If they were as unsafe as you suggest, the data would be out there to support your argument. Lets see it.

No, if you touch an officer, especially in an aggressive manor, you can be charged with assault currently. This law would take it even further.

Like Sogaard said, its been open for years. The federal law trumps NY law when the situation comes up. All they are doing is writing the same thing into NY law books.

Hes not saying you can just decide to abort a baby late term on a whim. Its ONLY if the baby is deemed not viable by a doctor or if the mothers life is at extreme risk.
