  1. Good idea, but her find was legit. I haven't walked that part of the farm for a month lol.
  2. Everyone have their counts in? Gonna close it up and do a count Tuesday.
  3. Winter isn't over yet, don't let it lull you into thinking we still can't get pounded and have complete snow cover, with a few layers of frozen slush or hard pack under it for a month. It's not likely, but it could still happen.
  4. Thanks wooly! That girl makes me proud. She was mad we didn't have time to get out for Yates this weekend lol. Hopefully I can get my first for the year out of the way soon. Didn't get to go but once last year because of the baby stuff going on. Only got 1 last year.
  5. Get a multimeter and test the wires before and after the switch and at the winch itself.
  6. Last night we had venison stir fry, not sure what's in the works for tonight yet.
  7. It's great exercise. I hurt my knee during deer season and it's kept me from getting back into the gym like I want to. I figure getting out and doing some walking might help it out.
  8. I'll start off with my first shed hunting excursion of the year. Yesterday, my daughter and I headed out to walk a section of the farm. We walked down the road and started down a tractor road that goes by a large cut corn field and along the south side of a creek bed and hedgerow. It leads back to an area of thick woods and swamp that I usually see a lot of deer activity in. Seemed like a good place to start. We got about half way down the tractor road when my daughter said "daddy look!", I turned and saw her pointing at a shed laying right in the path. She picked it up, it was a nice little 3 point right side. Looked like it was only there a couple of days, so we looked around the area for the other one, but no luck. 10 minutes in, and she had found her first ever shed. She was very happy and hoped to find more. We walked though an area of brush, checking all of the deer trails we could find, then we walked the mowed trails through part of the swamp. We found an old fox skull, a ton of deer sign and then started toward home after a couple of hours. I found a spot where I would love to put a stand in for next year as well. On the way back to the house, we found a dead fox that was mostly eaten up. Looked like a small, young one. She can't wait to get out after more, and I can't either. We put her find on one of the end tables in the living room, where I keep all of the sheds I find.
  9. I figured it might be fun to join the rest of you guys that do this, so I started this thread to log my outdoor activities. I'll post about all of it, from hunting to camping, fishing, shed hunting, etc. Whatever I do outdoors. I think it will be interesting to go back through and look at how much time I spend outdoors.
  10. I've seen them at Wallyworld, but I didn't know anyone still used them
  11. You could comb and braid it while you're....uh....yeah.
  12. A thread that includes the Giants, Justin Bieber and the Jonas Brothers? Good lord.....
  13. My fiancé watches that mob wives crap, along with the real housewives stuff. Too catty for me, I cant stand it. Jersey Shore is funnier to me. They are all just crap entertainment though.
  14. I have 2, a 7 year old daughter and a 9 month old boy. Couldn't imagine life without them.
  15. HD ruined Megan Fox for me lol
  16. Thanks guys. Nice find for your brother mbucks!
  17. If you've seen the movie Jennifers Body, there's a scene where you can see how hairy her shoulders and back are.
  18. Took my daughter out for our first outing and found a little 3 point right side... It was spotted by her and was the first one shes ever found.
  19. Im sorry, but there is no good excuse for any of the recent cases of people getting caught carrying in NYC without the proper permit. As a responsible gun owner, you should always make sure you can carry your gun where you are traveling, and find out what restrictions there are in place. If you arent sure, then leave your gun at home. I dont agree with NY's gun laws, but I still follow them.
  20. Good gravy, 15 years and not cleaning your gun? Must look like the rusty wheels I put my snow tires on lol. Doesnt matter what caliber you shoot, you should take care of your equipment. I can put 40 or 50 rounds through my 223 at the range and it still drives tacks at 200 yards. While the 22-250is a great round, you still cant beat the 223 on ammo availability, variety and price. Both rounds are just as effective at the same ranges, its all personal choice.
  21. You got banned with your 3 old accounts. Buckthebuck3006 and a couple of others. You are right now proving to me that there is no "little brother" as you are saying the same things again. As far as the rest of your nonsense goes, I could care less what you have to say.
