  1. The barrel came in today. Should be picking up the forearm tomorrow or early next week.
  2. The 500 foot rule does not apply to a building if you own or rent it. I would shoot an email to DEC asking that question, but I would have to say that it probably wouldnt apply to an indoor range.
  3. Steve, thats fantastic! I was just thinking that I could do alot with Joe's pic and photoshop!
  4. Ill have to peek at my calendar when I get home to see what that weekend looks like.
  5. Just wait until the frame rots out in your Toyota. Its not a matter of if it will happen, but when it will happen. Ive seen 7 of them, all 2000s models, all owned by people I know, and all of them ended up with fist size or larger holes in the frames. The good news is, Toyota will buy it back from you and give you KBB top value and a half for it if you buy another Toyota.
  6. Ok, first off, what do you want to do with the truck? Are you going to tow with it, and if so, what do you plan on towing? Second, how much/far do you normally drive? With 3.50+/gallon gas, it can add up to an expensive fuel cost rather quickly. Third, what can you afford?
  7. I used to work right down the street. Its not a great spot, but its where they have always been. They just opened a second location on W Henn Rd. Actually, it looks like they bought out Henrietta Hots, which was opened by a guy that originally worked for Nicks.
  8. Shoot the DEC an email and ask them.
  9. This is the release, which was posted on this site
  10. Last night I made Jambalaya with Venison Sausage. It wasnt from scratch, it was from a box of Zatarains's lol. Still good.
  11. A plate doesnt always have any specific food, you get your choice of a ton of different things. I always get Mac salad, homefries, cheese burger topped with onions, mustard and extra hot sauce, then I slather it with Frank's Red Hot. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, I can almost hear my arteries clogging up!
  12. I think there are too many reasons why people poach deer. Its nothing new, so I dont believe most of it would have anything to do with today's pressure. For some, sure, and to go along with that, maybe those guys are trying to make a name for themselves, you know, to try and get into the Outdoor Industry or something like that. Think of the TV personalities. Others, they may just want something to brag about, or feel that is the only way they can get their "dream buck". Some may just be lazy, and still others may have been brought up to beleive there is nothing wrong with baiting or shooting from a truck. Then there are still others that have no idea that baiting and some of the other less severe (you know, not spotlighting, shooting from a vehicle, in peoples yards, etc) are even against the law. I know of people that feed deer in their yards, have salt licks, etc because they like to watch the deer, etc. A couple people I know that do it, I have mentioned to them that it is illegal, and they dont really care. They arent hunting or shooting the deer, so I dont bother reporting them. Then, you have people that shoot deer for food, or try to live off of the land, so they take their chances and sometimes get caught. My little list probably doesnt even scratch the surface as to the reasoning people use when they do these things. Alot of them probably are just people that dont care and figure they will never get caught.
  13. If nothing was questioned on this site, it would be boring. Just sayin. Robisnon will be back, he doesnt seem to take the skepticism to heart too much, and usually has some explanation for us.
  14. Doc, its not just here, thats the way things work in any public setting. Any undocumented, crazy sounding story is going to attract its share of skeptisim. We have heard a few of these type of stories from Robinson in the past, and even recently. Remember the 91 lb coyote, just to mention one? I like Robinson, and think hes a good kid, I just think he might exadurate a bit. I dont think Im alone in that line of thought.
  15. Sorry Bubba, should have used a smiley.
  16. Bubba didnt write the original post, it was released by the DEC.
  17. Awesome mount, turned out great!
  18. Bubba, come on bud, you had to know I was being sarcastic.
  19. I always say I want to go, but I never do. This year wont be any different lol.
  20. Maybe if there was a blaze orange requirement, there would only have been 1 fatality.
  21. My mom told me at about 12, that if I wanted something to eat, make it for myself. Thats when my never ending culinary experiment started. I began making things right out of cook books and learning tricks from my mom and dad (both are good cooks), then started experimenting and modifying recipes until I came up with my own versions. As I got older and started learning what flavors work together, I started developing my own recipes and dishes. To this day, I am constantly experimenting with recipes. Some work, others dont. I love it, and have a great time doing it.
  22. Tons of them here. I watched a few flocks of snows fly over the other day as well.
