Heck yeah I would. As long as the fawns dont have spots, they will be fine. They dont depend on the mother any more, just there for companionship until she runs them off during breeding. They will stay in the same herd though, so you still may see yearlings with adult does.
I had the same kinda day Lawdwaz. Had 15 different doe and a nice 8 or 9 point all within 30 today, no shot opps though. One of my buddys shot a real nice doe this morning though.
Just got back in from a quick lunch and power nap. Had a doe run right up the tractor road on my way in. She walked into the brush and bedded. I tried to put a stalk on her butgot busted on the draw. It was fun anyhow. Wind has changed up.
I dont want to jinx it or anything, but finally, a perfect sounding day for bow hunting! It should be great, Im jumping in the shower soon and headed out to my stand! Depending on how things go this morning, I may just sit all day today.
I bought a pretty nice point and shoot for my Fiance last Christmas, its the Nikon Coolpix S4100. I picked it up on Black Friday for around $100. Its a great little camera with plenty of features. I would highly suggest it for a decent point and shoot.
Trail cam wise, I like Moultries and WGIs. The Bushnells get great reviews, but I havent picked one up yet.
Bears are illegal to bait. Turkey are illegal to bait. Deer are illegal to bait. Doesnt matter if you are hunting or not, it is illegal. Doesnt matter if its any open season or not, its illegal.
I would have stayed if he wasnt shooting in my direction. You know how many times Ive been at the gun club shooting skeet or trap and watched deer feeding just far enough away to where the pellets werent raining down on them?
You can, but not one that holds more than 6 rounds. I hunt with my Encore handgun quite a bit, its chambered in 260. I carry my Springfield XD40 during all seasons besides bow and late ML.
My mock scrapes have been getting hit, and Ive seen a small rub or two, but not alot yet. I havent been out at all since Sunday, so I cant say whats been going on this week so far.
Hmmmm. Maybe try figuring out where they are coming into the yard and try moving your cam there and see what happens? At least then, it couldnt be chalked up to coincidence.
I have stopped leaving my camera anywhere for a long time. I put it out for 2 weeks and move it regardless of what I find on there.
