You can get adjustable cheek pieces that attach to those stocks.

You could build something similar for less, Wilson is always on the high side as far as prices go. It sure is purty though.

Heres a factory rifle that would fit the bill. Try not to drool lol https://www.wilsoncombat.com/ultimate-hunter/

If he is as old as you are saying, it would put him at 7-8 years old. It might be him, with his rack going downhill, but I almost want to say the one from this year is a younger deer than that. Really hard to tell with that body position. When was the pic from last year taken?

Looks like there are some Agway stores pretty close to you (Westchester area) https://www.agway.com/Storelocations/results.aspx?zip=10501

Will do, I go right past there. Probably sometime next week would work for me.

Yep, its sitting next to my garage right now, I cant use those stands. Just dont feel comfortable on them at all.
-
Its the same as winter rye. Just make sure you arent buying rye grass.
-
If this is the route you go, I have a 35" bald mud tire you can have. It has some weight to it. You can pick it up along with that stand.
-
I plant it every year, just make sure to get grain rye and not rye grass. I buy whatever brand the local feed store has. Stuff grows anywhere. I always get it growing in the frame of my ATV after I plant the plots.

The only time the heat/ice trick works is if the dent has not creased the metal. If its a door ding, that trick wont work. They make body tools that are like long rods with different tips on them for taking dings out. They work great. Most doors, etc have plugs in the jambs that you can remove, then you use the rods to massage the ding from the back side of the metal (insert pygmy's joke here). If its in a fender or quarter panel, you may have to remove the wheel liner to get to it. If its a dent that is not creased, you would need a heat gun, not a hair dryer, and some really cold ice water, you dont need dry ice. You just need to be careful how close you get the heat gun and long you heat the area, as you can end up burning the clear coat and paint.

Putting in new food plots
WNYBuckHunter replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Sure, if you have a chance, Id be interested. I have a line on a 2 bottom plow, have to call the guy today. I figure these plots need to be plowed at least once, since (as far as I know) they have never been plowed, broken, planted. All I will need once I get the plow is a disc and a drag of some sort. A harrow might be able to fill both of those needs. -

Oh yeah, lots to do still, but this is a good start. Can’t wait to see the plots full of lush brassicas. -

Tractor is doing great. This size brush hog is perfect for it. I borrowed This one to see how it did. I know What I’ll be buying now. All of the pins stayed in place, only issue was one of the turn signals got knocked loose. Just need to tighten the nut back up. This kind of work is very relaxing to me, I’ve always enjoyed doing this stuff at the farm, it’s even better doing it on my place. I woke Up early and made some new trails through the woods. Still more to do, but it’s good enough for this year. Just have to spray, plow and plant, then it’s stand hanging time. -

Love those hybrids. If we didn’t have so many kids, that’s what I would Prefer to get. Starcraft makes great campers too.

This is the second plot. I want To knock some of the brush on the one end out of there but not too much. It’s a nice thick area where the deer like to bed.
