  1. Yes, but they are a specific type of worm made by Yamamoto. Its a straight, thick, round 5" worm thats impregnated with salt. Other companies make similar lures, but cant call them Senkos because the name is copyrighted, so they call them stick baits, sinking minnows, etc. Its rare that I actually throw a real Senko, in fact I dont even think I have any in my tackle bag. They are mostly Gander Mtn brand, Powerbait, and a few others. The Yamamoto Senkos are kinda pricey and you lose quite a few of them.
  2. Ill be on the water this weekend, but Im not sure how much fishing Ill be doing. Its going to be hot out and the kids have been begging to go tubing, so thats probably what Ill be up to for most of the day.
  3. They always have them at Wallyworld. Dont look for a brand or lure name of Senko, you dont need those. Look for stick baits or sinking minnows, same thing.
  4. Youve never seen that? Yikes. Heres the whole thing...
  5. I dont use much on my Hoyt. Start with a good tune, like others have said. I have small string silencers, a string stop and the factory limb silencers on my bow. The tune does the most IMO.
  6. Hey Moog, can you get a 4x4 tractor into the spot you want to plant?
  7. I never thought of making an actual garden for them, we have more raspberry and blackberry bushes around than you can shake a stick at. We just go out and pick them.
  8. Whats the reasoning behind growing those in the spring? Those are typically fall crops for food plots.
  9. Never heard of that. I know of people that have been bear hunting where bears were killed from the same stand on adjoining days or within a couple of days.
  10. Maybe shes growing Viagra if the bears are playing with themselves for 2 hours
  11. Thats a Coleman, I used to have one just like it. I had a pontoon set for it, which made it incredibly stable. I used to take it fishing and with the pontoons, you could have 2 guys standing in it and never worry about it tipping. Great canoes.
  12. Im not Wolc, I dont take such shots. Fixing holes in the hide is what I pay a taxidermist to do lol.
  13. Crazy amount of talent in you Wooly. Would you be interested in getting paid for one of those types of pieces? Ive been thinking about having one made for our house. Shoot me a PM if you are, and Ill let you know what I have in mind.
  14. I would shoot one just like any other deer.
  15. OMG, you never disappoint Dan
  16. Is that what they called the local slutty girls back then Dan?
  17. My dad has a pic of me when I was in 4th grade, around Halloween time, sitting in my classroom. I was dressed as a soldier and was holding a toy Uzi that was very realistic. The whole school district would be on lock down and the SWAT team would have taken me out these days.
  18. The first few years I experimented with food plots, I planted small ones that I tilled up with a 1960s Airens rototiller. It worked just fine. I still use that damn thing for putting in flower beds, etc. In fact, heres a pic I took last night after I got done working on a flower garden Im putting in. Tiller is in the pic. Saturday was the first time Ive started it in 4 years. Last time it got used, a half a tank of gas was left in it. I cleaned the spark plug and it fired up on the 2nd pull. This tiller spent over 3 decades sitting outside, uncovered before I cleaned up the carb, put new belts on it and started using it again. It wont die. BTW, I dont plant my brassicas till mid to late august
  19. Because honestly, it is arbitrary as to which threads are let go and which ones get wrangled in. If Eddie and I spent time slapping everyones hands for every little infraction in every thread, we would never have time to enjoy the site. The general rule of thumb though, is if one of the moderators asks you to stop doing something, (like tone down the language, keep a thread on track, etc) then thats your warning. The rules are in place to give a general idea of expected behavior, we allow people to gently bend them here and there. Technically I could slap your hand for using the word shizz, as its just an attempt to mask the word shit, and thats against the rules. You arent someone that comes on here and constantly starts trouble though, so its all good.
  20. Nice! The problem with alot of the mud holes at the parks, is that you have so many guys running lifts and up to 35" tires on their wheelers now, its easy to end up getting high centered or running through something too deep for your machine. Ive been there with my side by side...
  21. Nah, Ill leave em. Usually when Im skinning a deer, the kids are out in the garage with me watching. Its fun when I say "hey guys, check it out, Im cutting his wiener off". It always gets a reaction lol.
  22. Remember, the guide you get with your license, and what they have on their website, is nowhere near a complete listing of NY game laws. Ive heard it in 4 different hunters ed classes (gun and bow class for me and haley, as I sat through hers with her), so it could be buried somewhere, who knows. Leaving it until I skin them causes no issues, so I just do it regardless of what the guide says.
