I was wondering who that was.

Bell peppers are getting big but only a couple peppers per plant. Pimentos looking good which is suprising, when I transplanted them they were hurting. Shishito peppers are by far my best looking pepper plant so far. I have three or four plants with 8-12 peppers and they look very healthy so far. Ground hog topped all my sunflowers but corn and watermelon are going strong. Eggplant is fighting back after a treatment of DE as other posters suggested (thanks). Jalapeno and Poblanos are just starting to make peppers.

How the hell do you have no weeds? I hope you get some rain because that looks like a beautiful garden to me.

As the actual buyer, I should let everyone know in a couple weeks I will relist this item for 7 bags of jerky. That isn't negotiable, seven bags of jerky is a minimal bid.

Sous Vide with the Anova round #2
corydd7 replied to Culvercreek hunt club's topic in Game Recipes / Cooking
Anova also has an app with great recipes if anyone is interested. -
Same as Gman, to cold to plant at my cabin upstate but I'm thinking about planting them in my yard for self consumption. Keep us updated!

I smoked the veggies (mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, peppers) then sous vide tenderloin. Also did ribs, potatoe salad, coleslaw, fruit salad, mac salad and corn on the cob. Pulled some lettuce out of the garden my wife made some salad. We had people come and go throughout the day but still have plenty of leftovers. Fun day for my dad so it was fun for me.

I'm impatient and I'm not giving you all a lot to go on but can anybody confirm or deny this is a northern catalpa tree? This is a smaller tree with huge leaves, I have other more mature at the other end of my yard with white flowers that just bloomed today. I can add pictures tomorrow if needed. As always thanks for the help.

Yeah I hit them with fertilizer yesterday not sure if it's to late.

Crappy eggplant for crappyice.
-
My buddy just told me to do this. I'll take a picture of the eggplant soon.

Yankee bell peppers are coming in. Plants aren't loaded but doing ok. Shishito peppers are loaded it's going to be a good harvest. And about five snakes that scared the shit out of me. Jalapeno are just starting, everything looks good except for my eggplant which is losing a battle with bugs

I kinda set my watch to liking your post almost every night. Except for fried vegetables that is. Not everything has to taste good you know. Every once in a while you could steam them.

Fall food plot seed choices
corydd7 replied to corydd7's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Gman- why plant buckwheat in July? Do you let it go to seed? -
I had a dream about Nashville spicy sandwiches last night. 14 months since I was down there and I'm ready to go again. Man that meal looks divine.

Fall food plot seed choices
corydd7 replied to corydd7's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Can you spray glosophate (roundup)? Does the area get sun? The easiest fall crop is cereal rye. There are about 20 threads with many of the hunters on the forum who recommend it including myself. If you buy a bag of throw in go your overpaying for whatever grain is in the mix. If your thinking throw in grow, I think your better off buying a 50 pound bag of cereal rye for the same price. -
So I'm top seeding a clover plot with turnips, turning over a chicory, clover plot and using a new product Destination and my second year plot that last year was radish and rye will be beets and greens. I always add rye or wheat to my plots but these will be the main seed choices for this year. I've had awesome results with beets and greens but the other two products are new to me. Took a couple years to build soil and create plots that make sense for the property. I have high hopes this year and put lots of thought into when, why, and what to plant. All products of course have a tag with contents which I couldnt find pictures of online, so if anyone has questions I can take pictures and let you know the exact percent of what is in each bag. This is my fourth year of food plots and the first year I haven't done spring plots but clover looks good and should be plenty of other browse around.

I figured I would drop this here. Absolutely golden information from a true hunting legend.

Yeah but just off two soaker hoses. My garden is 150 feet from my house and off a well so for a hot day it was perfect. I don't water more then twice a week, from what I've watched and read a long soak is good for my setup.

Center cut pork chop brined for a couple hours with corn and taters. 85 degrees and a grill going is fine by me.
-
Yeah I did the same. Soil is damp even after 90 degree weather all day. I watered from about 2 a.m. till 10 a.m. and that did the trick.
-
I counted then forgot but I believe that's 65 plants in the ground. About 20 eggplant and 45 assorted peppers. All done, just tomatoes to transplant and some watermelon. I have eight heads of red lettuce to pull but I lost that garden to weeds. Sunflowers and corn hopefully will come up from seed soon.

So ribs came out amazing but the first one to try them was my dog five minutes after this picture. Little bastard is in the figurative doghouse as he is still licking his chops.

I've been searching stores for Johnsonville brats for at least a month and finally found them. Smoked them with apple and hickory then placed in a beer bath. Some spicy brown mustard on top and the world feels right again. I have some ribs that have been on the grill since noon as my next meal. Wife is making potatoe salad, and flakey biscuits that TCIII would appreciate. Pictures later if the food turns out alright. How I don't have corn on the cob in my house is the only minus of the day. I took some brats over to my neighbor in trade for the food he gave me on Memorial day.
