  1. Down In central VA right now and came across this weird tree . Anyone ever see this type of leaf before ?
  2. Ok, Got it . I agree , but to not get vaccinated out of concern for deleterious effects long term is not( at least , not presently).
  3. That’s not true as the delta originated in India and we have no control over that- moreover , your dismissal of the Illegal immigration issue at the southern border contradicts this . Your other points , however , seem valid .
  4. Nothing wrong w that , just keep in mind that they are not infallible; at this stage of the game , there is still much about the virus - and the vaccine - that is largely unknown unfortunately.
  5. It’s never a waste of time to Attempt to convince others They’re wrong about an issue if you’re certain you’re right , especially if it directly impacts their safety and well being .
  6. I read a post from ( get this ) Jennifer Anniston online this am and , surprisingly , it was fairly well written and got me thinking about the issues surrounding vaccines . To sum up her POV from the article , Anniston Contends that we , as American citizens , do , indeed Have an obligation to each other to get the vaccine in order to protect other citizens , lest we unwittingly infect them. Moreover , This POV appears to be Echoed by a few of our left leaving/ liberal minded brethren on here-Posts by VH , Knhrcke, Virgil As examples arguing this point ( and others ) exceedingly well IMHO. My question here is : do we , indeed , have an obligation ,not only to ourselves and our immediate family and loved ones , but to other citizens as well , in order to protect them from COVID to receive the vaccine ? Or , due to the inherent problems associated with its efficacy , in addition to the Vast unknowns ( i. e. Chronic long term issues ) that may afflict those that get it months or years down the road , are we actually better off not getting the vax , thereby protecting ourselves and others more by not ? Also, should it be viewed from the perspective that each individual ultimately, need decide for themselves what’s best for them and that we are responsible for our own health and safety exclusively and not other citizens ? What do you think ?
  7. Some are , undoubtedly but that’s a major oversimplification i d bet .
  8. Let’s secure the border first - the way it appears , the vaccines efficacy is more and more In Question Im Terms of its Efficacy for protecting against delta anyway. I just spoke to a woman down here in SC who’s Hubby got COVID , is sick and is FULLY VACCINATED . These cases are more than just merely anecdotal . I don’t think it protects that well against delta - period . But I DO BELIEVE that protecting the border is a national imperative and should be Taken care of IMMEDIATELY, with or sans COVID . Doesn’t make sense and is very dangerous. BIDEN IS WRONG HERE. END OF STORY .
  9. VERY COOL- I’m jealous ! When is your hunt scheduled ?
  10. No - continue to call out the Biden administration for its incredibly imprudent policies managing our southern border . It is hypocritical to assail citizens , yet allow that to continue , especially when considering it could so easily be rectified .
  11. Ok , so humidity too high isn’t good for transmission because of air density maybe or what? And Too Low Humidity isnt good either cuz there’s No vectors to cling to I guess. Something that Virgil said made a lot of sense , too- talking about virus particles JUST traveling when a host sneezes or coughs . I read before somewhere that it doesn’t persist in the air for long anyway so to transmit , someone has to cough or sneeze within fairly close proximity to someone .
  12. Actually , I have another ? If you don’t mind : based on your explanation of transmission of viral particles , it sounds like their movement is facilitated by water molecules in the air . Does that mean , then, that drier air with lower humidity would constitute a lower transmission due to this ? Based on your description, I would expect that states with notoriously lower humidity should also have lower transmissibility , right?
  13. Makes it easier to understand , thanks . You’re saying always , though ? Also , can they clump with each other as well?
  14. Enlighten me please - I must have missed this And am curious .
  15. No, but They w ask you to get an actual subscription
  16. I get email notifications that keep me updated as to the audits status in AR, GA and PA. Personally , I feel that the election was clearly fraudulent at a local/ regional level in key areas of the country , but it may not have been enough to change the outcome . I think Trump probably did win a close contest in GA and in AR . PA and MI/ WI though? Not sure cuz he’s further behind so I think he probably lost those states. Would AR and GA be enough to overturn the results? Can’t remember and don’t feel like lookin it up lol .
  17. Shes not gonna run , she’s in. Her mid 70 s now , right ?
  18. I’ve thought ALOT about this issue the past few days and I think it is totally legitimate for the native citizens Of a given area , city ,state , nation ( whatever ) to be concerned about major influxes of strangers onto their land, to the extent that they themselves are supplanted and , ultimately , get voted out of their own homes due to the huge shift in population demographics . This , of course , is worse case scenario and , perhaps extreme , but possible? I think maybe . It is NOT racist , nor is it xenophobic to have this concern btw- on the contrary , completely natural and understandable IMHO.
  19. My prediction is nothing will happen to him - NO MATTER WHAT THEY FIND . He’s a Dem and they will NOT impeach him- period . Having said that, I do hope that I’m wrong And that they do the right thing .
