Yes , we do see demagoguery and propagation of propagation of falsehoods and it comes from both sides . Yes , I agree , good point Grouse . I liked Arnold’s message very much although I find the MAGA Riots/Kristalnacht Analaogy a bit over the top . I think that , in order for us to move on as a country and also , learn from what happened to ensure that it never happens again , is for BOTH sides to take some some responsibility for what went down last Wednesday . President Trump and his supporters clearly took things too far when they did what they did and I condemn their actions totally . However , the DEMS And the biased media laid the groundwork For all of this when they supported , encouraged and condoned ALL of the violence and riots that were going on for MONTHS stemming from the George Floyd incident perpetrated by BLM and Antifa . Moreover , The message that was implicit in their complicity was “ its ok to riot, destroy private property , assault others , etc. to get your way “. Violence , looting and rioting begets more violence , so they say . Because , while They express moral outrage at the President and for his conduct , they did not have any problem with all of the posts / tweets back in the summer and fall in support Of the planning/ preparation and planning of the BLM / Antifa riots . Where was the outrage then I ask? And so ,Consequently , many on the right see there Current efforts as clear bias ( which it clearly is) and hypocritical. If , their only purpose is to prevent the planning: fomenting of riots And other such mayhem , then they would have banned both groups equally , which they’d Did not . Well , we can debate his accomplishments For sure but I am not surprised by what you said about Republican support in the election for Biden considering my own feelings Back in the summer . I Definitely didn’t like the “refusal to wear a mask “ statement at the time -thought it sent the opposite message that we needed from Our leader - and I didn’t like all the rallies being held with the cases still elevated the way that there were . You may be right about the election fraud , idk. I think that were was significant fraud based on credible anecdotal allegations referencing it but it may not have been enough to have changed the outcome . I know that I became very disillusioned with Trumps leadership Vis-à-vis COVID around June / July And actually considered voting for Biden come November . I did change my kind afterward because I feel like he rallied a bit ( and , of course , a host of other reasons , most notably , his other incredible accomplishments !!) but , in retrospect , I wonder how many people there were out there , like me , that were a bit shaken by the COVID stuff and were willing to at least entertain the notion of voting Democrat ? enough to affect the outcome of the Election? I disagree with everything you said about Obama but also think he is a good man and would NEVER disrespect him the way the left has disrespected Trump and , before him , President Bush. Obama clearly governed The way that he thought would best help America but IMHO , he was a weak and feckless leader . Having said that, I think that he would win a personality contest against any day of the week against Trump but being an effective President isn’t about popularity is it ?
