  6. there is no intelligence behind any of this nor can it be explained, its a political stunt no matter what the laws are true criminals are not going to follow them period and yet this state has no bail laws and are easy on true criminals.
  7. fertilize prior to rain but when the plants are dry no dew etc...if the fertilizer sticks to plants due to dampness will burn them, and if N doesnt get into the soil , from a rain, it will burn its self off . brassicas should and if your going to get fertilizer about week 4 of growth ...

  9. well finally got some rain it looks like after watching the radar for last two hrs and being missed by rain nice little red spot right over my camp....
  10. what stops a guy from a cheap hunt currently, go to state land not counting the cost of a gun / bullets... really the only thing u need to buy specifically is a licenses, and orange vest or hat...
  11. think a few towns /counties tried this once failed quickley never even went into effect due to each property being diffrent in timber and terrain and so forth it came down to a forster would have to go to every property and do a detailed report and if the land owner cut they would have to do it all over again.... Redneck What does the DEC have to do with inspecting for Taxes?
  12. what park is bigger federal or state the adks? just curious in lower 48 i know alaska has millions of acres, what im finding is federal or state Adks is largest
  13. yup amazing i got 7 plots some only 1/8th acre but total acres is almost 5 and each one grows diffrent on same 90 acres
  14. school and town /county? way cheap u have to have an exemption of some type, not knocking u , in fact great if you do,
  15. correct on all points Belo my point is people if they budget and is worth it to them can either own and/ or lease with some looking around , alos was pointing out the abdunce of public land in NY open to hunters theres two tracs of public close to my camp both about 3 to 5 thousand acre and several smaller its amazing the lack of presure and after thanksgiving its a ghost town and yes there a decent population of deer...
  16. looks like he added some inches def longer tines and possibly mass hard to say in velvet ,,, many deer will area always 8 pts or so on, age dosnt always equal massive racks few deer break 125in no matter there age
  17. well planted rye today to rescue top plot its a touch early but 60% chance rain tmrw, some of my barrassica plots are bouncing back with some rain need more, my low land barrassicas are doing well today the dirt was still damp in them up top was bone dry, only good thing if its too wet or to dry some of the plots will produce
  18. New york has a ton of state land very plentiful. Some areas better then others never mind the ADK's largest park in the U.S., even in southern teir there are thousand and thousands of acres just got to put some work in, i lease and own land im far from wealthy im def middle class and i hunt public also even with private , now i did like it better back in the day when you could knock on a door and get permission those are fewer and fewer, after loosing spots for various reasons when i found some cheap land i bought, taxes are a pain but to each there own....
  19. $18 an acre is the norm no one makes people pay that price plenty of state land to enjoy the sport, and down state land owners charge less then upstate? and not sure what property taxes are in that area but i would think that may not even cover all taxes
  20. never planted peas but other then ceral grains, they can be just be spread on ground , the norm is the bigger the seed the more soil contact they need,
  21. also many on line sites will no onger ship to NY come september
