Wind is the most important. Doesn't matter what the BP is, if you get winded it's over I like to hunt before a storm system rolls in. Deer move more, but one can't always wait for that perfect BP.

We threw in the towel for today. The wind was killing us. Constantly swirling. Levi has a football game this afternoon, and can't hunt tomorrow morning, so tomorrow afternoon we'll give it another go.

Several of my spots are off fields by 15-100yrds or so which makes it easier. Several are a PITA to get to. Electric fences do present a challenge tho. Grabbing the wrong spot definitely wakes you up, lol.

We're in for the youth hunt. Had 4 in the field. Set up to wait for legal, and wind swirled. One was a decent buck. Re adjusting for the wind.

I hunt in some nasty stuff. Never needed a light. Not worried about getting shot. I don't hunt public and most of the adjacent properties to the land I hunt and off limits to hunting and unless one trespass across multiple properties, crosses a large creek or the mass Pike, I know I'm the only one there.

Rarely use a light in the dark.

Good luck to all the youths and their mentors tomorrow.

Just checked in phone app settings, and the command app has permissions. The only way to send a picture or save it is to do a screenshot.
-
I can't recall any in the dark, because I rarely if ever use a light. But in the past 40+ yrs of hunting, I've probably have had a half dozen or so close encounters while walking to or from stand in the daylight, and probably shot a dozen or more with the rifle while walking in, but those were no where's near bow range.

That's the first thing I tried. My cam is working and sending pics to me, I just can't do anything with the pics in the app like send them to friends or upload into my picture gallery.
-
When I hit the button to upload, I get failed to upload. If I try to text the picture, the text goes through, but no picture attached...
-
What you say makes sense.. it does. But I've been told by encon, walk out of the woods loaded up after legal with deer calls, deer pee making it more than obviously your hunting deer, and you bought yourself a ticket. Now, weather they were blowing smoke up my ass, I'm not sure. One I seen in a local bar several years ago and we got talking about a poaching case in our area. Figured since he was talking shop, I'd ask.

No issues with my tactacams. Hit the button in the cams app, and I can text the pic. Not sure what settings in my phone I would need to adjust.
-
I'm just telling you what I've been told from more than one encon officer.
-
Bill, something is wrong... Can't quite put my finger on it, but..... Oh ya, the picture isn't sideways. Did you figure it out, or are we gonna have to go back to the chiropractor. Lol.
-
How do they know what my issue is? Just because it's " working" doesn't mean I'm not having issues with the camera. Which in fact I am. Cam won't transfer a pic to my picture gallery in the phone, and I can't send the pics to a friend. They would know that it they called me back.

Sure, walk out of the woods with rattling antlers, grunt call and deer pee. Honestly officer, I'm hunting coyotes. Lol

Well, here it is over a month since my first call. Multiple VM left, emails. All very friendly.. Crickets. Thankfully, the cam started working. But I will never purchase another stealth cam or the other brands they sell. A simple robo email explaining the situation would have helped. I'm not holding my breath I'll ever hear back from them.

I only summarized the incident. Early in this officers career, he had several incidences with my uncle's. He paid special attention to me. Later in his career, I asked him when he was going to retire? He answered, when I catch you, lol. So never, was my response. He eventually did retire, and when I was selling a boat that he ended up buying, I mentioned a rockin retirement party, he looked confused, and I told him he wasn't invited. Lol. Seen him several times over the yrs, and often had some interesting conversations about his service.

In NY, if you're walking out of the woods after legal hunting hrs with a arrow nocked, your breaking the law. You are technically hunting after legal hrs. Yrs ago I had a local warden give me a hard time because I came out of the woods well after legal. My stand was several hundred yard away, and a swampy area to navigate. He was getting ready to write up a ticket when I asked him if he seen me with a arrow nocked? He admitted he hadn't, and I said I could walk around till midnight as long as I don't knock a arrow. He reluctantly backed down and said I need to be out of the woods by legal. I challenged him again, saying I'll see you here tomorrow evening same time, and I guarantee you won't be giving me a ticket, because I do not need to be out of the woods by legal, just not hunting.

I just did a Google search and found the article. He's definitely lucky. I'd post a link, but since you didn't have much luck, I figured I wouldn't either, lol.
