Few tree rats and a swarm of mosquitoes. Wind keeps changing.

I've got several of those also. I use those in areas I don't mind walking in to. I use the cell cams in spots I don't want to disturb or a much farther walk. As mentioned, I only have the cellular feature active from September till end of December. I've got 5 of them, and don't want to spend $60 a month on the off season. I can still use them during the off season like a standard trail cam by swapping out the SD cards.

My brother and his wife have had a few more over the yrs. All were gentle giants. Moose was a great dog, but very protective. My brother had just gotten home one late one night and parked his Harley in the garage. A few minutes later Moose started staring at the door leading to the garage. Dan heard the garage door opening slowly. He opened the door and moose was on that guy like flies on stink. Took all he could do to get moose off the guy. Guy sued, but lost.

What a cute lil fuzzball. Congrats.. Had a St. Bernard when I was growing up. His name was moose. Should have changed it to Cujo(well before the movie) when he got older. Mean old prick. Wouldn't let anyone or anything near any of us.

Had these two guys in front of the stand this morning. Unfortunately, no one was in the stand.

OMG. Who friggin cares..... Go shoot something.

Don't I know it. We've used a chamber vac for 25 yrs, and it was old when we got it. The lid cracked from old age. New lid is $1400, lol. Not worth putting that kind of money in a old machine, so we made a lid. But now there other major stuff wrong with the it. Been using food saver types the past couple years, and we hate em. Bags are way more expensive and just don't work as well.

Never really looked, lol. All's I know is under that tree is trampled.

Decided to hunt a ground blind today. Perfect wind. Unfortunately there were 6 does and fawns 60 yrds from the blind. Had to wait for them to feed through. That's a apple tree of some kind on the left. Little apples just a tad bigger than a nickel, but the deer love em. Not many left. Might bring the zturn in tomorrow a cut some of the taller grasses down.

Just freeze the meat. Less than 6" thick requires 5°f for 3 weeks to kill the disease.

Looking good Ryan. You definitely got a good deal on the saw. We sold ours a few yrs ago. I'm thinking about selling the hollymatic patty machine. Only gets used once a yr to make patties for a after season hunting party. What brand chamber vac is that? Mine is over 30 yrs old and needs lots of work. Plus parts are incredibly expensive for it.

Looks like a Chamber vac sealer.

I don't blame you. If I hunted public land, I'd have bells, whistles, sirens and strobe lights. No way I'd be mistaken for a deer, but I'd probably be shot for scaring every deer in the county, lol.

In for the afternoon sit. Hay and rye field behind me. Wind sucks. Swirling bad.

Nothing like a good man shop. Look forward to the progress pics.

2.15% is what we locked in at.

We wash the cavity, skin, quarter ASAP. It really depends on outside temps and how soon the deer dies. If the deer dies within a hr or so, and lays there for several hrs, even if the temps are in the 30's, it could be a loss. There's been a few over the yrs that we have to toss because after waiting 8-10 hrs to recover the deer, the gut juices had tainted the meat to a point that when cooking you could smell and taste it. Even with cold temps and washing, skinning, quartering.

I was thinking about something similar, but vented. The ventless creates too much moisture.

Need to add a little heat to my unfinished basement. We use a split system and a pellet stove upstairs (ranch style house). Much cheaper than the old oil furnace. Which will be changed to propane next year, and there is a 3/4" capped propane line in the basement. However, since we don't use the oil furnace, the basement gets friggin cold. Making that floors friggin cold. Just looking for something to keep it in the upper 50's or so. Looking for something that doesn't break the bank for initial cost, and operation costs.

Dropped him quick.

Even in self-defense, it's going to be a shit show in NY. Most likely going to cost a ton of money to defend your actions, and NY will probably do everything they can to prosecute you.
