I agree with Phade on the strike force, I'm sure the 2017 is outstanding as well. Seems cuddy back were the big cams ten years ago, there size ,function and performance are all outdated in my eyes compared to the cams of today.

I'd enjoy seeing it as well if you want to pm me. I sure hope the camera industry doesn't shift from double A to cr123 batteries . Not only harder to find but costly and in my flashlight they sure don't last long . If you need any field testers , wink wink let me know ! steve

Phade have you had a chance to test any. I thought I saw or heard some place that defender was 225 or so. Just wondering how much better they are then the 2016 line ups in the 130-150 price range. Steve

Any one have the cabelas 10 point series of clothing, I just got the 4 in 1 parka and it seems impressive. I'm thinking about getting the matching 10 point pants . They both feature cabelas dry plus which claims to be 100% waterproof. I used my cabelas points on the coat so it was basically free.

Phade I actually did an experiment at camp, I left the 2016 browning and a moultrie 990 out . I put Duracell in the browning and energizer in the moultrie( I think it might be reverse) Last year the moultrie still had 61% on April 1St , I forgot the photo count. So I'll keep you posted come spring with my results. Thanks for the update on camera line ups, I'm sure I speak for all of us and we appreciate it .

The current 2016 browning strike force elite HD is very impressive. Other then the one issue I discussed with you I love it. It's been up at camp in snow and sub zero temps of the tug hill since December 1st, I'll be checking on it come April to see how she faired over the winter . Can't wait to see the lineup, any idea when that will be . Can one add a set of solar panels to any cam ? Steve

I don't use them for tracking, but it's hard to beat a mini Mag light with led for durability and price. Plus double A seem easier to find and cheaper then the CR123 batteries

I thought phade posted something on batteries but I couldn't find it. Lowes has 60 double A rayovac on sale now for 10.00 bucks. I'm going to test some in my trail cams . I'm leaving six cams out there so we shall see. All else I got batteries for kids toys on xmass any one been using rayovac batteries , Duracell add up quick when running six cams

Accuracy will be effected by movement,the hinge pin makes for a tighter lock up.
