wow a walk off! They mustve been going crazy celebration at the plate!

Was watching "Bowhunter" on the outdoor channel and they were talking about trailcams . Anyone carry an extra one on all their hunts and set it up by the stand they are hunting to get action shots or video of the hunt? I was thinking might setup a trailcam to do that and try to catch the deer I am shooting at on video when they come in and carry it with me to each stand for the days hunt. Gun I wont bother with but bow hunting it would be fun. Have each spot ready to go each time just have to put camera there.

it annoys me more and more everyday when i have to wear a mask still, among the other restrictions that are still in place. -
Great pics Salmon_run. One of these days one will show up on one of my cams hopefully. They seem to keep expanding their range and numbers. So maybe we will see more of them.

Cuomo just lifted all emergency declarations,. Yet I am still having to wear a mask at work among other restrictions.....grrrr. https://www.timesunion.com/news/article/Gov-Cuomo-makes-an-announcement-16267924.php -
Yeah I figured as much. Esp this time of year they seem to wander. But to actually even have one around is news around here. They are so rare. Guy that lives there is 76 and never seen one his whole life.

Get em Dan. Let's see pics of the take.

I would love to buy it. Played the lotto for Tonite. The two houses there are really nice. Central air, central vacuum, indoor vented grills, oak bars, . One is three floors. The cabins I would hand a few out to family and friends and a couple for guests. Dare to dream...

so kinda a kick in the pants but .... as many of you know i have been hoping for one bear pic on cam - have never had one. And also i have always wanted to get one NY bear. SO the location i can no longer hunt as of end of last season - the owner sent me a message and said a bear had been spotted up there twice this summer! lol. Gotta love it. Where i hunt they just reopened bear season i think 2 years ago and the whole area might take 2 all year. And never any close to where i hunt. But apparently there is a bear there now and of course i cant hunt there....... And yes chances of it sticking around or being there during season are prob slim. But like it has been said "theres a chance!" If i was still able to hunt there now it would be plastered in trail cams!!! But maybe the other spot that i now hunt will eventually get some. It has always seemed like great bear looking territory. No hard feelings on it but gonna miss it even more this season. It was also my best turkey spot and really missed it this spring. But for Deer hunting i am more than content with what i still have. Who had to put a bear in play damn it!!! lol

looks like an upcoming crime scene! Looks great John - I can picture a buck standing there for sure

bought some arrows ....and.....thats it. Prob take bow out to check it over soon. Then start shooting a little in late July/ early August. Used to shoot all summer but all i do is get in my own head with tweaking. I will shoot a few times and then lets go. Pack is still ready from last season and already restocked with some cleaning gloves. I will have to wash hunting clothes and then hang them in my little hunting gear shed - prob early August. new thing to this years list is food plots. Will start those end of July/early August . Whatever weekend looks best around there.

Yeah lakeside is my favorite, all by itself and on the water. if you go up again have to go into town and hit Martys Chili nights. Looks like a dive bar but on the side there is a mexican restaurant with 100 tequilas. They have good food and its just interesting to see it in that town. The last time i was up there had a bald eagle 6ft from me. just love that area. I once had a camp on that road many years ago. Looks like a great trip, your pic brought back some memories. Wish i hadnt sold my little rowboat now.
