  1. Keep up the good work Biz. Hope all that works out to come in 2020. I had my personal best whitetail in 2018. Then my worst deer season in 2019. New boat to start off 2020 so I'm hoping for a good year too! 2019 was a good year to clean out the freezer for an epic 2020.
  2. I think I know why Lawd is known as two buck Larry! He doesn't answer all those texts cause he is actually hunting.
  3. Oh I am in for the next 10-12 no choice on the 401 K plan. But gives ya a little shudder. Don't need the market to drop just before the election either.
  4. Anyone watching the market today....yikes. just room to grow right....
  5. texting has been awesome for hunting. right up there with trail cams.
  6. sounds like the texting skill is a big qualification for this club. Might be more of a requirement than actual hunting skillz. lol
  7. I might try for 1000 inches of Oneida lake walleye
  8. well i have to applaud such a lofty goal. Hope it happens this year. Someone will always miss. It happens
  9. i have to say i think this was somewhat doomed from the beginning. 1000 inches of antler is 166" per person. Which is a very loft goal in NY. Although you have 250 inches almost guaranteed with two buck Larry and you have most of the field in trophy WNY country, I'm thinking 7 people for 1000 which is 142.9 " is more realistic. But i like the setting the bar high! You might want to take in another applicant, possibly a 500 word essay contest in the form of a text message so that you know they are up to the task.
  10. Hoping so Dan! Bring spring. Was nice out this weekend but cold at my place. That wind coming off the frozen lake made it 15 degrees colder than a couple miles down the road.
  11. 1994 Bryan Kerchal, an amateur, wins the Bassmaster classic. KVD, RIck Clunn, Denny Brauer etc in the field. He finished last in 1993 in the same tournament. He was a short order cook at a ground round in Conn. Made the classic thru amateur tournaments. Tragically died in an airplane crash 6 months after winning the classic. still not beating the miracle on ice but a big upset.
  12. Other than the 1000 club falling short , the miracle on ice is def it.
  13. Kinda like smelting. Rarely hear of anyone going after smelt anymore either
  14. You just had it confirmed by a consensus of experts. I guess you know.
  15. What sauce do u use for the Nashville hot? I am planning on making these this week. Or is the chicken already sauced when u got it? I was gonna use a sweet baby rays sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. I didn't see anything in hot sauces that was specifically a "Nashville hot".
  16. Def a good day for a walk. A little too much snow to tread thru here yet but Charlie got a good walk in.
  17. Some guys dressed in black keep taking them.
  18. I would listen to him but I can't seem to hear him anymore. Lol
  19. I will hold off on cashing in the 401k for now. But if the canal turns red tomorrow all bets are off...
  20. Should be followed by a boom in brown trout and small mouth.
  21. How come there isn't like an out break of Brook trout or cottontail rabbits... Yuck locusts. Saw this on the nightly news. Worst in 70 years. Sure glad I dont live there. Poor folks.
  22. Was just watching evening news and this was on. Corona virus, locusts.....cashing in my 401k Monday! https://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2020-01-26/locust-plague-in-east-africa-united-call-for-international-help/11901468
  23. So night 2 with trying air fryer. Made walleye topped with imitation crab mix and also cooked a few breaded fillets. Mixed reviews on the air fryer. Knowing that it fries with air obviously figured a sauce would be needed cause its gonna dry out the fish. Also then tried a few fried fillets. Def prefer them in the deep fryer. So yes of course the air fryer is better for you but can't see where it cooks better. Def simpler to use for some things but don't see so far where it cooks better than other methods. The stuffed walleye would have not been so dry cooked in a foil wrap for sure. Although they were still very good but without a sauce def wouldn't have. So yes @crappyice I will remain on the dark side ! Lol. My arteries may not like it but cook wise and flavor wise just cooking with hot air is just drying food out to me. Although I will def cook wings in it again as those were easy to do and still good.
