I'm in the office in NYC, but my Dad just texted me. He saw a 8pt. 80 yards away at 11:10am. He tried bleat and then grunt to get him under 40 yards, but to no avail. 3N - Carmel. -
Not much. Just hope the neighbors and neighboring gun club get cold quick/bored and start walking around at like 9am and spook deer to me. I'll sit super still on the ground against a tree and not even scratch my face. I watch across a stream up a hill guys walking around with flashlights after its already light. pretty funny stuff.

I hunted 3N this past weekend and did not see any signs of it. Still saw fawns with does. A few buck rubs were just starting to begin on trees. This was in Carmel. Where do you hunt?

I keep a really small yellow jacket target in the woods. I shoot it with a field point. Other option is taking the bolt out and holding the string with rope cocker and pull the trigger and let it down slowly. I think shooting a bolt is better for an xbow, but when you change string on an Excalibur the holding of the string and pulling the stringer technique has to be used to change strings, so it can be done without harm. Just make sure the bolt is out or you will impale your foot!
