    It's the only way my dad and I have hunted deer. Him 40+ years, me 12+ years. Sit on the ground against a big tree or rock wall. We wear orange. We sit dark till about 10-11am then still hunt around very slowly, then sit 2pm-dark. Over 30 bucks combined doing this. Many of our deer are shot when we spot a deer and can move 5-10yards into a better position for a shot. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

    Simple solution: Put a nice deer shed antler in a tough to get to spot. Set a nice-sized snare, and hope to snare that Mother-F***** !!

I will be going on Saturday, 3/2. http://www.sportshows.com/suffern/index.html I see Sunday, 3/3 is Whitetail Superday: Whitetail Superday is Sunday, March 3 Sunday will feature a continuous series of whitetail seminars by some of America’s greatest hunters including legendary whitetail hunter Lane Benoit, NY's own, The Salernos and The Deer Doctor, Peter Fiduccia. Fishing-wise, I see Mike Iaconelli, Ish Munroe and others will be there.

    I agree with you, it is great. The only free time I have is on weekends, so I enjoy spending that time playing sports or hunting or fishing, not building. To each their own.

    Yea, they are definitely more powerful now. Many years ago, I was in my parents backyard as a kid and I shot a raccoon in the head several times with a pellet gun, he wouldn't die. I didn't want the coon to suffer, so I borrowed my Dad's .22 handgun and finished him off. I had the coon's skull cleaned with beetles. The skull has all the little pellet embedded in the skull. Pretty crazy.

    Thanks all. My dads antelope scored mid 70's if I remember correctly. Missed b&c by 7-8" I believe. Mine is very heavy mass, 6". My mule deer has that weird point with hair still on it.
