  1. The only ground hunting I do is on opening day of rifle, late morning while doing a few pushes of the local area with family and friends. Hunting from a portable stand has dramatically increased my success in my area.
  2. Fresh purse’s and fresh Milkweed. Thank you again for that great suggestion.
  3. Full Camo through the whole hunting season. I look at this way, I've got clothes for everything I do: FR clothes for work, older jeans for tractor work, saw pants for chainsaw work, snowmobile clothes for riding, mtn bike clothes, hiking clothes....Dam,I'm high maintenance.
  4. I just purchased a 3 pack of rubber coin purses off of Amazon. Thank you Sir for that great Suggestion! Cheers, Jsin
  5. Summit Viper SD climber and Muddy’s Vantage stand with 6 sticks are my normal go to. I do have a few ladder stands for my father. I just recently purchased 3 hang on stands for my new property to use in conjunction with my climbing sticks.
  6. If it was me I would leave it alone until the spring. Then disk it a little and put down your clover. Very little growth opportunity if any by putting it down now.
  7. I left my bow hanger in the tree last night. Realized it after I got to the ground and had everything packed back up..... Almost everything.
  8. No on the first one and yes on the second.
  9. I built some screw in camera mounts this year to elevate my trail cameras. Helps to get them out of sight and a hell of a lot cheaper than the mounts that are sold elsewhere.
  10. No not really... just might be a case a presumptive pissing that's all. To early n u will spook everything away. I walked 5 miles today around my core area. Found two rubs, still a bit to early to worry to much. Don't burn out your areas to early!

    Ok Age Him

My guess would be both deer in question are a healthy 2.5 years old. Definitely shooters for me.
  12. So I picked up a pair of Vortex 8x42 Diamondback. I tried out three different brands;Vortex,Zeiss and Nikon. All three were very comparable. I own all three brands in Scopes. I basically chose the Vortex based on the no hassle warranty and cost. I got the chest mounted carrying case as well. Thank you to everyone for their suggestions and insight with this purchase. Cheers, Jsin
  13. Ok, just read FastEddies thread/topic about people using their scopes to spot while gun hunting. Ok, I'll admit it I've done it in the past. I was wondering what power binoculars are people using while they are hunting? I'm going past a Cabelas tomorrow and my points are itching to be used. I'm figuring on spending $200-400 on a pair to carry this year. Any suggestions in brand and power would be great. Cheers, Jsin
  14. Congratulations!! It is a great feeling once you leave the table after a closing. Three weeks ago I closed on 82 acres in 6R. Breaking ground for a new home very soon. Enjoy that heated garage.
  15. Last three shots after 30 reps.
  16. First shot of the season after left shoulder rotator cuff surgery, 20 yds.
  17. Nice looking plots. It is a good feeling when everything starts growing after all the work that is involved.
  18. I have the same scope on my 10-22 and thoroughly enjoy it.
  19. Nice Truck!!! I'm on my fourth Tundra. Currently driving a 17 TRD Pro. I often think about defecting to a GMC. I have such a great relationship with my dealer. It would be tough starting over. Enjoy all the luxuries that truck has to offer.
  20. The beans that I’ve planted the past three years are Real WorldWildlife Soybeans. Not the cheapest soybeans to plant, but the past three years of production of beans are worth it ... Thank you to Tod Avery. You sir are a solid source of information and those that know you are appreciative of your commitment to us food plot Peps and can’t thank you enough.
  21. Show what ya got... 1000 acres....how’s bragging camp going!’
  22. I planted on June 10th. Dry as a popcorn fart, when I planted. Light doses of rain followed and the took off.
  23. I took a walk through the middle of my bean plot this week. Things are looking good. Just wondering what everyone else's plots are looking like. Cheers, Jsin
  24. Yes, with a call to Jeremy I’m sure he could help you out.
