    Howdy

I really like my Vizslas i have two of them and they just happen to be brothers they are going to be 6 the day before trout season opens. Super intelligent dogs love them to death. Picture is of Duke and Riley Lets not forget the hounds.our male Loafer and our bitch Nessie Monster
  2. still just windy in North Tonawanda no snow I most likely will not even be shoveling in the morning.
  3. we were supposed to save this last year until they started to charge for doe permits. Just screw the people who live here and entice out of staters to come and spend money. Its a big sham and I cant see it because government keeps pulling the wool over my eyes.I am so glad they keep fixing things for me and my fellow sportsman. Thanks big brother.
  4. why carry a gun that does not have a round chambered, thats pointless. might as well carry a toy gun. Just because you have a permit dosent negate stupid. take the toys away.
  5. It is a good idea to replace the straps on hang on stands. The straps are nylon and that will sucomb to uv radiation. I alreaddy have my stands out just because of the formentioned, I dont want them to fill with water and freeze. Just a note. the API treestands use a size 2040 chain witch can be bought at tractor supply.

    Howdy

Anyway I thought I would introduce myself. My name is David, mid fortys, kids, dogs, wife, and a mortgage. Deer hunting has a permanent count down clock in my house. I hunt the first day of bow season right through the last day of muzzleloader. Thanks to my father who took me hunting when i was just a little squirt. I was five when my dad got me my first Daisy pump BB gun, and a homemade slingshot in my back pocket, again thanks to my dad. Like I said the wife... she is great i get to come home every day to my dogs greating me at the gate. We have two Vizslas, they are brothers and two rescue's,both American Black and Tan coonhounds.I dont know too many women who put up with four big dogs....Thanks baby....anywho its squirrel season she deals with that too... as long as I take her ice fishing for perch. we live in niagara county about fifteen minutes from Niagara Falls. I work in the awning buisness, been in this trade most of my adult life witch allows me to fix or alter my hunting gear.I not only can sew my stuff but I am also a welder fabricator. I have some custom made equipment. There is a fancy deer swing in my back yard I built out of 1 1/4" galvinized pipe and a nice rhionlined climbing tree stand. Hunting kind of consumes me for most of the year. I couldnt do it without the help of my wife and the education my father gave me. So thats me. trying to hunt for our food. (goverment mind controll beef)sshh. quiet its supposed to be a secret. Nice to meet all of you.
  8. I had a stare down late this morning with what looked to be a six pointer. second buck i have seen in two days, both sides are still on.
  9. spotted a buck this evening. Still sporting his hardware. I walked to within about 70 yards of them in a bean field.looked like five doe and a buck.
  10. buck spotted still had horns. Niagara county.
  11. IT would not suprise me if this victory as it is being called is nothing more than a political ploy. I feel the seven round rule was added so it could be given back to us. Hopeing to satiate the masses. Remember this is cuomo's doing. Just my theory.
  12. I have taken several deer with the 300 fpb. I am absolutley comfortable with their knock down power. They all go through the oposite side, one shoulder or two, 30 to a 100 yards they hold together pretty well. Backed with 114 grans of bh 209.
  13. This went through a 6" tree at 50 yards and lodged in a second tree Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2
  14. Storm front tonawanda ny Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2
  15. I have my smoker outside and I am going to make 30lbs. of summer sausage this week. Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2
  16. citizen band. and ham radios.Old technology that they cant moniter. Also its free to talk. Bonus there are no hidden fees or taxes.
  17. I saw a flying owl in the woods. They can be very large and scary. Sent from my SCH-M828C using Tapatalk 2
  18. This one is not scary but curious to say the least. Many nights I would walk out onto the breakwall, past the peacebrige. I was fishing for Walleye. Every trip there seemed to be something to remember, like the night this guy wanted to know exactly where i cought the two five pounders I was carrying out. I told him just where I had cought them, Not. I saw a beaver in the canal, just west of the peace bridge. That was the first encounter of a Beaver in buffalo. Looks like a breeding pair lives around Tonawanda Island, spotted them this past summer from my kayak. The strangest thing I ever saw was what looked to be a dead Lama jammed up into one of the culverts under the peace bridge. This happened around 1995. This thing had to be deer size or bigger. It had to be it was stuck in the culvert, it didnt look like a deer, and it wasnt a dog.

    Why not to

i am now dumber for having for watched this.
  20. I just made some shag bark hickory syrup. While squirell hunting in Pendelton I found some hickory trees. I brought some of the loose bark home washed and toasted it.Then after simmering a tea of bark and spring water i removed the bark then reduced it by 25% of its volume. Then just add sugar. We ended up with 15 quarts that we processed for our use throught the year. Just as good as maple with a little bit of smokey flavor.
  21. they claim to have a 25lbs pressure to load them. I have shoved a few down the barrel and am not concerned that they would hold on the powder tightly and not move. I wont be waiting until spring to shoot these, so i will keep up with the updates of my range day.
  22. I whacked a buck there openen day ,but it has been some years since i was there. It did seem to get a lot of pressure, but that moves deer around.Thats how I got mine. The buck crossed the trail just a couple minutes after some johnny come latley's walked to their stands. The buck ran straight for the parking area
  23. I shoot a triumph 50. with blackhorn 209, love this powder.I sighted in with the hornady FPB 300 gr. with 114 gr charge of bh209 wich equates to 80 weighed grains at fifty yards. They seemed to shoot well enough that a 75 yard shot would not have to be out of the question. Going to the range to see if i can get it sighted in for a100 yards. Looking to shoot this round to a limit of 200 yards. I was hoping to get some ideas, does anyone shoot these bullets?
