    Have a flock that I have been keeping an eye on for quite a while, about 18 now. Mostly good size poults but 2 hens and 3 young jakes. The question, how many is too many in an area. Should I take a hen or let them go. This is an area where turkey numbers have been low for years. Edit: I'll post some video as soon as I can figure out how to get it on here.

    Not trying to high jack the thread from phade, but say a guy has no scale to weigh BH 209, what would be a good one that don't kill the bank?

    Nice choice in guns.I drilled a few rounds out of a CVA Wolf. That sure was a nice accurate weapon. Spot on at 108 yds. They are sure a fun gun to use. I rather enjoy a muzzleloader over my shotgun any day. Used pellets for years, and easy to use. I'd start with them. Read the owners manuel, watch the video and get expect advise, as your doing, from the many members on here, that know mz,. like the back of their hand,

    I have to go with G-Man on this one. sounds like u clipped one lung. Arrow slid through with little blood. The tough part is hair on one side. One would think the hair would coat both blades on a Rage.

    Boy I'd give $300 in a blink. What a nice shotgun. Would think it's well worth half the price of new. Just make sure the barrels are true.

    Yep, and to a certain extent, they may prefer it after run through the cylinder, as it grinds it up. Good luck with your hunt, and any other questions about a combine, feel free ask, LOL.

    "Bow hunters, just educate the deer." Been hearing this even more with the extra 2 weeks. Edit: Is it possible to make a ""gun hunter"" entirely happy?

    Witnessed a spike with 12 points in full chase mode with a big doe this am.. Got set up for a shot and had a 6 pt broadside, second deer out; 20 yd; took a pass. Couldn't wait for a third, nature called. LOL. Breeding season is on here. Pumped me up!

    Don't forget, this time of year, fine grasses start to grow in some of these fields. Spray material break down in the wetter soils, and it doesn't kill all the grass seeds anyways.They could be drawn there for that reason. Maybe for the carbs., now that the nights are colder.

    This is where hunting gets interesting. The tracking job can become more intense, than the hunt itself. Really can't say anymore then whats been said. Sometimes those deer will bed in an area closer then u think. I agree, give him till at least 10 today. Your nose is going to be the most useful tool u got. Wish I could give u a hand, we'd find that bad boy. One thing. keep your spirits up, be positive, and good luck.

    Flex headers on combines will get most of the beans. Their will be some waste, from deflected beans off the reels etc.. If u check on the ground, behind where the sieve throws the chaff, most likely will find a few beans on the ground. No brand of combine gets 100% of the beans.

    Like to rig a dud camera with some type of exploding paint. Go ahead, steal it. When they open the door, it blows all over the front of them. Coarse, they would, more in likely sue me then, LOL. Just some personal satisfaction.
