  1. Now all u need is a pair of growalot goggles, LOL.
  2. My son shot this doe last night at 29 yd. He shot slightly quartering away. She moved at release. The arrow entered in a real bad area but took out a major artery in the hind leg. Excellent blood trail. He was extremely lucky. She went 90 yd, and down. Weighed 157 lb. gross, 123 lb net.
  3. Hers a pic of one that had stood up in front of me. They bed down right out in the field during the day. Gives an idea just how tall these things got.
  4. Welter Seed & Honey company. Wanted just radish with the option to blend my own. Another member led me to them, thanks grow. welter seed & honey company.htm
  5. They pull the root out of the ground and chow it right down. They do stick out of the ground about 6 inch.Their are pieces laying all over. They drop the tops here and don't eat them as much right now . Deer haven't touched my turnips.I'll try to get some close pics of them in their mouths. Going to plant several more acres next year.
  6. They grew well and deer love them after a frost.
  7. I'll vote after hunting tonight. Always vote late. Hunting is more important, LOL. I feel your local elections are more important then the presidential, We have a tight one between Slaughter and Collins.
  8. Scrapes showed up here, about a week ago. Rub sign on Holloween. They are now showing in new spots nightly. Now, this is not the norm for this area. Point is, all areas don't show signs, all the same time. Keep scouting. Things can change over night.
  9. A few snow showers here but no acc.. Sat on the ground anyways. Had to watch scent with that sharp NW wind blowing. Watched 9 deer gouging themselves on that Daikon Radish. Will the sun ever shine again?
  10. I'd say 2 1/2. He might blow into a giant next year. If he give me a good shot with the bow, I'd try for him.
  11. Yes I agree, he is an idiot. He's out drinking a 20 ounce soda, LOL.
  12. Sounds good. Do u mind sharing the recipe?
  13. Never been one for an all day hunt, but like to be out as much as possible, and have been since Holloween. I aim for between 12 noon and 2:30, beside the morning and afternoon hunts.
  14. We'll it's that time of the year again to set the clocks back one hour. Now, one has to leave an hour earlier, just to get afield at the same time. I find it difficult to adjust.
  15. Really fell bad for u people. Bad enough u get hammered from Mother Nature, then u get hammered again from the results. Are gas deliveries still curtailed , power issues, or just over demand? Do u see any progress? The news agencies up her are to worried about Obama to report anything decent about your areas.
  16. Got my 2, no waiting at local town hall. Clerk commented on very light showing so far. Edit; Hope to be one of 16% to fill it, LOL.
  17. We'll all I know is when I take a weapon afield, I want to be on the most alert status. Think you owe it to yourself, other hunters, and to the animals u are hunting.
