    I guess they don't worry to much about that because probably 99% guys take the deer they shoot and use it . And the 1% or what ever it is that don't it still is gets eaten up by the animals in the forest nothing goes to waist in nature. Even when you take a dumb in the woods it becomes like a buffet for all sorts of critters

    Yea I have seen deer skinned head gone nuts gone and back straps , everything else they left near trail head parking area of public land one time like 2 years back during gun season. Not sure if that is legal but that guy obviously thought it was because he left it right on the side of trail head near parking area .

    They measure the nuts and use the PA nut chart to get accurate wieght. Just like that chest chart . ball measuring has been scientifically proven to produce accurate weights of deer.

    Even in Alaska the locals hunt off trails and dirtroads rob there is no shame in it nobody going to think less of you if you do it that way . Just saying, don't get offended .

    The plan is if he shoots a big one in there on his bush wack hunt after about 20 minutes of dragging he is going to say to him self boy I wish I took old bill and 007 advice and stayed near those trails to make it easier to get the hell out of there

    Even bigfoot has been spotted on those trails up there lol Actually no matter where you go up there there is a trail not to far away usually . But I here you you want to really get out there .

    I know what you mean I actually was on the way out when I saw them and only hunt those fields when nobody is there . I have been sprinkled with bird shot from the other fields one time at that place . Its unnerving to say the least

    Logging roads and snow machine trails and hiking trails could be great place to spot deer , Its thick up there and the deer like to travel on path of least resistance could be just as good hunting then bush wacking deep in off trail Just something to think about. Do what ever you think is best . Some of those trails go 50 /100 plus miles so you want to be alone just keep walking not a problem up there .
