I keep on telling myself to get a muzzle loader to take advantage of that season but never get around to it . I think I would like to get one that has nice iron sites on it , Keep it simple I am not even sure if they allow you to use those on the range near me that I go to .

Didn't bother reading all the comments here but here is my opinion on this . When Humans started artificially changing the landscape for there needs . The time of just letting things like coyotes deer and everything else just self check there populations ended. Its are responsiblity to manage the land, the animals so both man and beast can coexist on it . Anyone who thinks different is being naive .

Yea I know what you mean on trips like that I usally leave early and come back early don't hunt to dark . Tried a few times dawn to dusk and it can be tuff getting back . Now when I do those 4 plus hour trips at most by 3 pm I start heading out of the woods start back then it's not to bad you can stop take your time and not kill yourself.

Thinking of going up to the Adirondacks to hunt for a day and coming back that night probably be even a little longer then 4 and half hours the longest I have done in a day trip so far .

Yea how does that work with drugs? The criminals that don't fallow the law now like the laws against killing people really care if you pass another law . What's disturbing is I saw a fox news poll that said 80 90 percent support more gun control, Despite no proof that it would even do anything to stop these nuts . They had ak 47 and ar 15 attacks in the EU and those guns are banned all together over there for example .

What's the farthest you have driven to get to a hunting spot and have to be back home by the same night. I have driven up to 4 and half hours one way to hunt from home and 4 half hours back to get home the same night . Gotten up some times before 2 am to get there as early as I can .

On public land Some times I try and get out mid week if I can because parking lots are almost always empty then, but there are times when hunting with a lot of hunters in the woods can work in your favor with some luck other hunters push deer to you at times also , so not sure if one scenario is better then the other really. Sometimes it just comes down to luck I guess and some educated guessing (funnels )on which path the deer are going to move when pushed by other hunter on the other side of the hill or from bordering private land . It also helps if you learn about as many different public land spots as possible because things change from year to year . And I have a few spots on each that I use when blind or tree stand hunting.

I know so many places to hunt at this point it's hard to remember them all including in your area . Usually i go to the closes spots to home there probably not the best necessary but i don't always have the time to get to the better ones . I use to use tree stands now I stick to ground blind and still hunting . I may hit 10 or more places during the season sometimes more then 1 in a day .

Anyone can make there own body armor the material and instructions are all over the internet so his plan not going to work . That being said here is a idea a guy buying body armor and a assault rifle all of a sudden should have his background checked looked at a little more maybe then some that just is buying a bolt action or shotgun . But can you trust them not to abuse that power probably not and that is why better to just leave the laws alone.

Anything you can imagine is possible Including , 1 they faked his death.
