  1. Got to love how the cancel culture has invaded a hunting forum... always the same ones stirring the pot arguing opinions... then scream lock it up . Personally I could care less ... I just ignore the thread or the trouble makers . Gramps always said common sence ,common courtesy, and common respect made for a civil society. Attributes in people lost on todays society. He also said you can't argue opinions. That's a hopless cause.
  2. Just got off the phone with my dad in Missouri. My step mom died this afternoon. A few weeks shy of her 76th birthday . They were married for 43 years . Wasn't a real surprise she hasent been doing well . Heart issues as well dementia. Have to make arrangements to go out and spend some time with my dad. I wish he would move back to NY.
  3. I would wire brush any loose or flaking rust . My buddy pressure washes the underside of his truck ,lets dry before applying woolwax
  4. And I thought a 3 bird limit wasn't worth setting up a decoy spread for .
  5. Have you made this one ? Interesting mix of spices .
  6. Thanks for the info I may look into it . I'm looking for an actual recipe. We use to use a season packet from Eastmans. Haven't found any in the last 3 years. Tried some different packets and haven't been satisfied. Biggest thing is we don't like the licorice flavor most put in it . Not sure if its anise seed or what.
  7. Anybody have a recipe for a good southern style breakfast sausage?
  8. Think that picture says it all about 2020 -2021.
  9. I fished great lakes trib western ny . Water was high and off color . Not a bad trip hooked up on some small browns ... lost 2 big stealhead. Going to have to get some new leader material . Think I got a bad batch of fluorocarbon. Brand new spool. All and all was a great day . Almost stayed over but my usual place was closed for the holiday.
  10. Yes I do my truck 95 percent of the time . Quick lube dumb ass stripped my drain plug on my Sable wagon. He used an impact on it . I came unglued on him . They payed to have the pan replaced at the ford dealer. Took a month of phone calls and screaming . They thought they should be able to do the work . I told them I would see them in small claims court and would be billing them for a rental
  11. I drive more than 15k a year I don't think a lease is in the cards for me .
  12. My friend does fluid film in the door panels Fenders rockers and cab joints.Hw uses wool wax the frame and supports shock towers and such.. he is lucky he has a lift to use. I will be doing mine with Jack stands and a creeper.
  13. I will be trying woolwax as soon as its warm enough to apply . A friend of mine who was a body shop guy has been using it for years. His trucks look like new underneath. Looks like a pain in the ass to apply first time but only requires a little touch up every year. He also recommends fluid film in the body panels . Not sure if I will need that on an aluminum body panels
  14. They all rust . My dodge 16 years old went down the road as it had a hole in the frame . Fenders so bad I could reach through the fender wall and change the oil. My co workers truck Chevy is 11 years old and his rockers were so bad he got water inside. His new gm is 2 years old and has rust on the break lines and leaking on fittings . First year they had to replace the computer and relay boxes as it kept shutting down . Multiple attempts to reflash wouldn't fix the problems . He sold it and bought a dodge. SIL Toyota tundra is rusting out at 12 years old ... My 13 has rust in the cab corners and rockers had a transmission problem that ford recalled after I payed to get fixed ..all of them have their issues.
  15. I have developed a sensitivity to sulphides in beer. At least that's what my Dr whom also has a brewery says . I drink one or 2 budweizer beer and I get a pounding headache. Yet other beers such as michlobe I'm good . I shower 2 times a day and 3 times a day in the summer . Where I work it is so dirty I shower to get all the batch dust off when I get home . Summer times its very hot and I need to get the sweat and salt off. Last year everybody was washing in the bathroom at work . Now they walk in do their bussiness and walk out . Then you see them hit the hand sanitizer in the hall way ... wtf.
  16. Have had good luck with diehard and interstate batteries. Just changed out oem Motorcraft in my 2013 a few weeks ago. That's 9 years on original battery . Guess I got my money's worth on that one . Shame I will be sending a new diehard and year old duller revos as well as new brakes down the road when my new truck gets here.
  17. Lol I could see him in that role.... ak after the Bumpus hounds.... " Here's Johnny !"
  18. Love the raptor ... that Toyota looks freaking awsome . I'm more on practicality. Truck to haul stuff. Point a to b . As I drive 50 miles a day mileage means alot . Some of you may laugh but I opted for the high end interior power everything then deleted carpet for rubber interior. Makes clean up easier and I won't have to spend time getting the dog hair out of the seats and carpets . As well as mud and sand from fishing . At mid 50's I'm not worried about 0 to 60 mph as much as how it will haul my trailer and tractor . 4×4 is a must for snow travel as I sometimes go to work at 3 am and the plow truck drivers have yet to get out my way. My son had a Toyota tundra . I drove it a few times and I loved it, damn fine truck . He bought his while stationed in Texas. The thing on the Toyota is local dealer service sucks . I will call it what it is. They are crooks. Unnecessary repairs .
  19. My kids have quite the sence of humor.. They know how much I like a Christmas story
  20. Furthest I go down state is the Neversink River . By choice that is .
