  1. Nothing wrong with heavey and slow ... 391 grains at about 1150 fps flattens them ... expands well and I always get an exit on deer .
  2. While the message in truth isn't funny, the way its depicted is hilarious.. wish I had stickers like that I would go buy some gas in Ithaca a gallon here a gallon there .. 33 gallon tank says I can hit alot of stations spreading the truth ... pissing alot of libtards off along the way.
  3. Diablo pistol shot gun holsters is what I'm getting at the moment .
  4. Dot the I ... put the cross hair an inch or so above the crease and let her rip
  5. I prefer a bipod... tripod doesn't leave alot of room for the feet between the blind wall and feet. Never used a monopod but I can't see where it would be better than a bipod or a tripod . Love my trigger sticks bipod in tall and short.
  6. It is the dogs dish ... they try to ignore her but she will not have it .
  7. Your taxi bill just went through the roof . Bear ain't cheap . Lol. Take your time and take lots of great pictures .
  8. She loves to pounce on my feet as I walk acrossed the room . Thank God for crocks .
  9. We lost our cat last spring after 16 years . Wife had to have a new one. Im not a big cat person but as long as they mouse and don't try to cuddle up to me I tolerate them . I'm allergic and a cat in the house has me back on allergy medicine daily. This is Lucy. I dont know where the name came from but its the wife.
  10. Cute pups ... i will not be showing this thread to the wife . Congrats.
  11. Well im out . All day sit . Moved from ground blind around noon to tree stand . 5 doe a 4 pt and around 430 had a dandy 9 point walk just acrossed the property line and into a little swamp edge. No shot offered.
  12. Happy Veterans day to all that served and thank you . Took son out yesterday for lunch . Complete strangers coming up and thanking him for service and buying drinks . Meals were paid for by anonymous stranger. Son was embarrassed ... he served in the army 6 years honorable discharge disabled vet . He does alot of volunteer work he's just not use to the attention . After 3 hours he said I needed to take him home. The attention and beer caught up to him . He is a very humble man . He told me he didn't want to do that again he didn't think he deserved it . Was heartwarming to see the gratitude and patriotism of the people in my area.
  13. 3 does under 20 yards. Not really interested in possessing deer in such warm weather. Now if a big buck walks through.. Tin roof is loud on wifes she shed.. hunting house . Though they didn't see me im back lit something terrible with all the windows . Raining pretty hard in 8y. Creeks are way up again over night . Sounds like Niagara falls down in the creek bottom .
  14. Yup tending ... had it happen 20 years ago watched an 8 pt breed a doe in a thicket . He mounted her multiple times over what I guessed to be half an hour grunting and ticking the whole time . Had 2 smaller bucks in that time come grunting through circled but kept distance.
  15. Sorry I must have missed something. What does fast Eddie have to do with what chef posted ? Seriously must have missed something . I come back and the thread is gone . Inquiring minds want to know .
  16. Damn lost the. Chuckle thread.... And that's why we can't have anything nice! Kind of like gun control .. chuckle thread didn't hurt anyone but someone abused it now we take it away from everyone . Wtf.
  17. My cousin shot a monster on a 3 acre piece that he alone could hunt that butted up to a piece of state prison land . Shot it last minute of the late archery on last day . Hunted it only when the wind was perfect think he was in the stand 6 times from beginning of archery through gun and late season.
  18. Awwwe man ... dont take the chuckle thread . I look forward to most of the stuff posted. I can and have ignore the rest .
  19. Dont know about new owners for remington. My company has been bought and sold at least 5 times in 23 years. Owners persay are investmen bankers . They could care less if we make a quality product anymore.. they care even less about the blue collar workers that make the product. All they care about is the 22% or better return on their investment. I hope the owners for Remington make a difference.
  20. Doesn't matter how much corporate welfare they throw at Remington... NY has made it impossible for them to do business here. Why would they stay in this climate. Georgia is giving them tax breaks as well as utilities incentives to come. NY could offer the same and more but it still makes sence for them to go someplace that supports there business and politics.
  21. Sucks for the employees... probably a sound bussiness decision for the company .
  22. Dont see this ending well for the dog . Going to be a full time job trying to fix him if he can be fixed. Better call Ceasar.
  23. I'm a 44 guy . That said 243 in a long rifle paired with a premium bullet such as the nosler partition 90 to 100 gr is the better over all choice . Shot placement is every thing for both calibers. Heavey for caliber in the 44 mag has some amazing penetration capabilities . Still its a 150yd round . I haven't seen either 243 or 44 mag on the shelf in a year.
