We got over 3 inches of rain in a 24 hour period. Blown out is an understatement... won't be fishing for a week on the streams here in the southern tier.

Think I want a pole saw . Just started looking . Not interested in manual saw have one hate it . Anybody have experience with gas and battery operated . Just want to clear some limbs along my roads and such .

Nothing worse than turning on that garbage that passes for news . It's nothing more than op ed stories of the left. Loser holt has gotten so bad about reporting opinions he can't even do it with out smirking. On a high note .. my friend the lawyer loves it ... reporters have taken the bottom of the trust list moving lawyers up a notch

Co worker and his wife recieved first shot 6 weeks ago . Less than a week they are both out of work sick . Test positive for covid. After a week he is in icu. She struggles for 2 weeks gets better. He gets sicker... Monday he goes on resperator... Saturday night he passed . His retirement was to be September. He was a no masker ... no vax... until his daughter told them no Vax they couldn't see the grandkids. To little to late . Covid has popped up in my plant four or five times now taking out 4 to 10 people at a time. First death .

Got out this afternoon chasing the hendrickson hatch. The fish were there ... the hendricksons were there... fish didn't know they were supposed to eat the bugs. Got a few And a couple surprises I have fished this river for over 30 years and never a rainbow .. brookies yes .. browns .. but never a bow. Great day... pygmy have you gotten bows out of the big c this year ?

There are no deer or turkeys in Steuben County... except Wegmans... best damn turkey there is next to those found in liquor store.

Had a black lab named Casey Jones... shortened to Jonsey... then bonehead .. Great dog . Had a flat coated retriever called Shadow .

I have inherited some feather stock and purchased lots of tying materials at sales and such . Im amazed at some of the feathers I have found that were of protected species. Without providence proving age and origin they are not worth getting caught with . They all get tossed. Not sure but polar bear use to get bought as trim on religious dolls and were legal to be shipped to the US. Seal fur is another item thats hard to come by but can be had .

I actually met Rist at a fly tying show a long while back when I use to hit the shows every year. It escapes me which show must have been Danbury or Somerset. Kid was a great tyer . They had a tying contest .. how many flies one could tye in a certain time using same materials . He beat my mentor by 3 flies to win the contest. He was just a kid maybe teenager . Already more skilled than I. We were all appalled when we heard what he did at the museum .
