My son Eric and I sat together this morning and he was able to drop this buck at 312 yds. Pretty sure he’s a 31/2 yr old we called him Hank the Tank. I missed him w the the bow on October 29th but my son didn’t with the .270 this morning. As you can see the grandkids enjoyed it as much as their Dad. We’re very fortunate to get to spend such quality moments….these are the best memories that last.

My son Eric and I got into the Buckform my big hunting blind and left the windows closed as the wind was out of the south mostly but it wasn’t long until we spotted movement and then saw some does come out into the radishes. About 330 yards away he came out and was trailing a doe so I opened the window for Eric and told him to get on him and take the shot when he had it. A few seconds went by and he said I think he’s going to go into the woods and he shot. This is a buck I have some history with I called him Hank the Tank I missed him during bow and so glad that my son got him. It makes me happier that he got them then if I did very proud. I think the grandkids are as excited as their dad Good luck to the rest of us as I have to find a new target buck.

Haha. I’d like to take it back again but will likely try to work w the mfg to get it corrected or new or credit something I hope. Never had a camera die in a week and had decent luck w browning but this was bad apple.

This is a non cell camera and have to contact Prometheus to send it to them for $20 WTH. Guessing they will send a new camera same type for another 20 bucks and that doesn’t really make sense simple solution is Bass Pro shops takes camera back gives me another one same type price everything and they deal with the supplier on the crappy camera that doesn’t take pictures. Nowadays it’s retail acts like it’s not our problem will just pocket the money and hope you go away. Yeah agree I haven’t had any camera manufacture that I purchased that didn’t have some sort of issues the only one I haven’t is Reconyx because they’re so expensive oh well had some cheap cams last five years and expensive ones last two years you never know

Just bought a $99 Browning Camera at Bass Pro in Auburn and it worked for 2 card pulls about 1 week and shit the bed won’t turn on or work at all. Brought it back 17 days after purchasing and Bass Pro said to contact Browning. I haven’t not overly impressed with BPS as they profited too but want to take no responsibility I asked the clerk at the front desk if I could just exchange it for another one and they said no. Maybe I will send it to browning but not expecting much but have had good luck with their other more expensive cameras

I rarely bring food with me hunting other than candy bars around Halloween. Maybe an apple every once in a while early in bow in Oct if we went pickin. I don’t bring water. Sometimes I will bring coffee in Dunkin type bottle during rifle and black powder. If I get hungry i can walk to my house in 2 minutes. I rarely sit all day during bow sometimes I will during Gun. Having the back 40 as your backyard great.

Hopefully between now and Saturday i get close enough with the Crossbow and an anti tank bolt will be deployed. If he crosses the field on Saturday he’s going to hear the Savage 270 bark. He was looming yesterday but not close enough. I had this 2 yr old get pushed away by Hank at 30 yds but he needs more time on the hoof. Have this one I am interested in too but he’s been a bit spotty.
