Back in the day I lived in Northport and East Northport   I lived off SeaCove Rd in Northport, and then till I was 5 I lived off Adar (spelling no idea) lane.  I only lived in Northport for about 3 years, when I was 18.

Adar was right over where I grew up. We moved from Commack to ENport when I was about 3. We lived on Karin ct off of Holly drive. Small world, nice to hear from you guys!

Suffolk County here.... Excited about this season. Finally replaced my 22 yr old Golden Eagle with a Mathews Z7.  What a dream to shoot!!!!!   Now if I can just get a big boy in my sights long enough.......LOL. Good luck to all this season

fellow islander from patchogue.  I hunt mainly private and county land in suffolk.  I own a 110 acre farm in Schoharie county (4G) so i do a lot of bowhunting up there too.

Hey yup, Nassau here. Bow hunt the pine barrens, duck hunt the north and south shores.

I was out at the Lab this morning, deer all over the place! Some decent sized bucks.

First hunt there, it was slow.. As I was coming down in the dark a HERD of does came running though like a stampede and hung out like 10 minutes, feeding under me, in the dark.. I saw a huge buck 2 years ago there, midday on the prowl.. hung up 40-50 yards out..  I used to carry a quart urine jug, but that day, well, wasnt quite enough.. and as luck would have it, one of the biggest deer I've seen in the woods comes by & winds my stink. I now have a 2 qt apple juice bottle!

I didnt even know you could hunt at brookhaven labs. How would I go about finding out info on it ? Any help would be appreciated

You cannot legally hunt brookhaven labs.. Years ago, guys did, it was a non-issue, everyone who wanted to know,

knew why those parked trucks were there for. In today's environment, no hunting alowed on lab property..

Across WFP you can find spots to hunt..

Take a ride, make some notes on a map, then scout them on google..

Or just ride & remember where the trucks are parked!  8)

There is only one spot that you can hunt by WFP.  It's DEC land on Smith rd.  You have to check in at the ridge check station.  All the spots on WFP are illegal.  I saw them giving out tickets two weeks ago.
