nyslowhand
You may want to see the thread "Practice" within Bow Hunting, it's a similiar ongoing discussion.
Doc
do you shoot your bow i shoot like four times a week rangeing from 4 to 30 arrows depending on how i feel I just recently picked the bow up and began this year's practice. Right now I am shooting about every other day. Things are going pretty darn good right now so I try not to over-do it too much. I'm pretty careful about not getting too fatigued. What I found out in the past was that if I practiced until I got tired, pretty soon I was practicing-in some bad form and on occasion I would develop some target panic which showed up as a massive uncontrollable flinch...... Not a good thing and not very easy to un-do. Right now, for the first time in a few years, I have put a 40 yard pin on my sight. I don't shoot at deer over 30 yards and really prefer shots that are 20 yards and under. But for practice there is some value to shooting the longer distance as a confidence builder for my actual shorter hunting shot distances. It works. 20 yard shots become a "chip-shot" that is very hard to miss. Doc

Geno C
took the bow out 2 days ago for the first time, had to get a tune on it and adjust a few things that have been long over due. i usually shoot a few times a week but i am going to try to shoot almost everyday, maybe 15 - 20 arrows a day. grouping great at 30 right now! sweet old bill
I am retired so a day does not go by that I do not shoot a few arrows with the exception of when we go south to Myrtle beach SC for the period of Jan, Feb and March. The rest of the year I have my garage setup as my own bow shop and have the boews ready to go from recurve to compound. I will go out and shoot maybe 15 arrows and then back in to the house I got at the house I can shoot from 15 yards to 55 yards. I also have a 3D course setup with 32 targets of 2D or 3D deer. I shoot it two times a week or more as it gets closer to hunting season. As we get older it takes more time to keep your bow arm, plus it just fun for me. WNYBuckHunter
Yeah Im just waiting for my custom string/cable to get here, then its going in to the shop to get set back up. Ive decided this will be its last season, next year Im selling it and buying an Elite, either the Z28 or GT500. They are made right up in Henrietta and the shop I go to normally is a dealer. No excuses for bad factory support lol. They have the best warranty in the industry as well.
SteveMcD
I try at practice every other day during the spring and summer when I can. Depending on the day, weather, heat, fatigue will all dictate how many arrows I shoot, one day may be 50 arrows another may be 200. What matters is quality practice over quantity practice.
