erussell
Watched a tall racked 6 point walk down through the field next to my house last night and most of his velvet was already gone. Made me do a double take. Anyone else seeing velvet coming off yet? Edited August 28, 2012 by erussell

ryanrobb52
I pulled 3 cam cards yesterday and all the bucks were still in full velvet. I would assume that within the next week or so it shouuld start comming off.

Pygmy
Most years I do quite a bit of squirrel hunting in the early season, which opens Sept 1. Typically most of the bucks I see during the first week of Septmber still are in velvet, but by mid month, most of them have shed it. HuntOrBeHunted
Any pic I have seen so far there still in velvet. I'll be getting my cameras tonight and will hopefully have some pics of a buck or too so I can upload them.

cwhite
Saw a road kill a couple nights ago. He was still in velvet but it was cracked and going to be rubbed off probably that day.
