Shot my first doe in 5 years this morning. Felt great after strickly trophy hunting for years and the last two years passing on small bucks and blowing it on large bucks. Hunting is more fun when you shoot. Now she headed for the freezer and Im headed for my buck.

Congrats on the doe!! I shot my first doe ever last year and it was great to get a kill under my belt for the season and some meat in the freezer. Also the extra buck tag i got from DEC wasn't a bad thing either. Make sure you take the head down to Ridge so you can get another either sex tag.

Thats the main reason I took her now I can get one with a bow on li and one with the bow upstate.

Congrats,Any legally harvested deer is a trophy in my book.My first two deer I ever took were bow kills in Suffolk and I look back on them with as much pride as any buck i ever took.
