growalot
Topic...What are your family traditions at Christmas?...Do you have favorite foods...events....special gatherings? We all gather at home on Christmas eve....traditional foods are French onion soup ready most of day...veggie platter and venison meat balls in sauce.... lasagna/stuffed shells ...I always made a ham ..but we never got around to eating it...too full from snacking....We always play Yahtzee and laugh our fool heads off...reminisce...watch Christmas vacation and make ice cream then open gifts Christmas Day is at the in-laws....brunch visit and home again
landtracdeerhunter
Nothing better than a good french onion soup, Well venison meatballs in sauce sound tempting too, LOL.
nyantler
Christmas is a time for huge gatherings in my family... inlaws, outlaws, friends... both on Christmas eve and Christmas day... there is always tons of love and laughter and has always been my favorite time of year. This year my wife and I are starting a new tradition where instead of spending money on each other we are giving that money to a charity that helped us a few years back when our son was sick... The Jonathan Cancer Fund... Having been recipients of this charity's generosity in a time of need without having ever asked for their help makes us honored to pay it forward to help others during their difficult time as well. Merry Christmas!!
Lawdwaz
I generally do my xmas shopping the 24th, sometimes as early as the 23rd. We'll visit church the 24th for the candlelight mass. The 25th is presents and a big breakfast for my wife and kids. Snooze and watch football then hit my sisters for the big family (my family) gathering. A very good time with great food, spirits and family.

Doewhacker
Usually small game hunt on the eve, killed my first ever critter back 21 years ago on that day. Then we hang with the kiddies and have fun. Xmas day we do the usual presents and big breakfast and have diner here for my whole family and more gifts.
