Anyone attending the Ithaca gun buyback as a voice?

It is an individuals right to dispose of firearms as well as own them (legally), and myself, I think a buyback is an excellent tool for minimizing firearms in househols that most likely arent suitable for them to start with.

I have 2 old rusty long guns that I aquired years ago that I wouldn't even shoot.. it might be a good way to get rid of them and get some cash.. that's really how most of these buybacks go anyway... very few people giving up any good guns.. just old stuff that someone will pay them to get rid of. It will make all the lefty's feel good, but will do nothing but cost the taxpayers money.

Do some research and see how baseless it is... I think your baseless comment post is baseless. In fact many of the people that turn in guns still have guns at home which equates to just getting rid of some old guns without the hassle. Not to mention it's a no questions asked policy so criminals bring their guns for cash to use for a new gun purchase. Are you that niave that you think this actually has an impact on crime?? Like I said do some research... and educate that liberal mind of yours.

yeah baseless enough that I know one shop that will sell you POS guns, rusty old hunks of crap for $75 or so bucks, so that you can go sell em at those buyback programs...................makeing a profit..................wonder if they'll take myold rusted up muzzleloader

It's not about people giving up their guns.

Two government officials brought this idea forward as a response to the latest tragedy. The police and elected county sheriff are sponsoring.

The media will be there, and the slant will most likely be not good for those who understand what the 2nd amendment maintains.

Another voice should be present to at least try and get a fair unbiased report. It's either complain to each other or form rapports with the event organizers, attendees, and the media to achieve gaining some professional points. This is the way it works.

Probably someday, those that did nothing now, will remembers those that did, later. At least it can't be said that we didn't try to do something.

Its still a baseless comment. That little snippet you attached does not specifically identify all the types of weapons turned in, nor their condition or value, so stop backtracking. Think before you post!

Perhaps you hit the nail on the head, criminals will turn in their guns for cash in order to purchase new guns. You may want to reflect upon that comment!
