I've always wanted to do Deal's Gap/Tail of the dragon.

I'm planning a trip down that way with my Sportbike buddies this Spring. We may spend more time on some good alternate routes down there as we hear that the Deal's Gap area is crowded and heavily patroled.

I did Deal's Gap last August; it wasn't that busy but i did see some troppers (only 2) parked at a rest area. I was glad i took the time out to do this road. I might head down that way and do it again this summer along with the snake. Great country for bikes.

I am going on my bike. I keep going back and forth on the tail of the dragon, I was down 3 yrs ago and didn't do it. When i decide i am going to do it then a video pops up and of course its a crash video. I figured at least i would have done the snake. I am going in Aug if anyone wants to go. (follow)

I'd love to follow you down, Paula, but I'm not sure I can keep UP on my 24" Schwinn...My training wheels are getting worn..

I did the " Tail of the Dragon" when I was in Tijuana in 1972...

I wonder if CONSUELA is stiil there ? She was such a NICE girl...<<sigh>>.....
