Whats wrong with this buck? Moultrie I-35

Anybody have any suggestions to what happened to this deer's leg? Notice the dark circle in the front.

lookslike a break and reheal.. from what?? gunshot, car, slip. anthing is possoble had one several years ago shot here that had a sinilar injury near it's ankle

It is still packing antlers! WTH?? Never seen one in April before!

Some kinda abcess? dad said calves can get infections in there leg joints like that... related to pneumonia...
