very little. the landowner is my father in law. he says he has seen alot of tracks and even wing drag marks pretty much smack dab in the middle of the property. he has also said sometimes they walk right up near the house along the one trail and go across the road. this info was from friday....i figured maybe near the power line cut might be a good option.

Without seeing the place, judging by the map, it looks like there are a lot of pretty clear areas.

I would start near the power line at the road, and get there early, while it's still dark. With some luck, they'll gobble before flydown, and you can get within 100-150 yards of where they roost while it's still dark.

If this doesn't work, sounds like setting up inside the power line closer to the road would be your best bet.

Good luck

I'd get on the powerline cut on the lower side of the map south i guess keep sun at your back so bird has to look into it may give you an advantage to move if need arises, listen for one to sound off and move to intercept. looks like 2 good blocks that they my roost in the top left of powerline by road and the lower right near field. id get out there in the dar betweenthe two mid way on map. listen and move if need be.

This is just me but I rarely ever setup blindly in a spot unless I know birds are in the area. I mostly stay mobile.

I'd probably hunt that whole parcel in an hour unless I had a response. If all else fails, try walking the back property line and wail on the call. Maybe you'll pull one in off another property.

Good luck to you as well

There gonna wanna strut in that big field near the back of your property. i would setup as close as possible to that field, but be careful and make you are listening so you dont bump any birds off the roost. Use the power lines to get close to field and than cut into the woods stayin maybe 50-100 yards off the edge of the field. Sit and Listen!
