Butane - they are silent and no smell that I can tell, but I guess it emits an odor like some type of flower the mosquitos hate.

Good God..... go with the thermacell ......believe me you can't go wrong with them...and get the holtster for it..or find someone that can sew

I honestly think it is impossible to walk through the Hartford Cabelas and not buy a single item. I always feel like a kid in a candy store. I can't even walk through Dick's and not buy something hunting and/or fishing related.

Just went to Dick's last week, walked out with a new trailcam that I did not need. I've been banned by my fiancé for at least 6 months, it was my third trip in as many weeks and each time I walked out with something I didn't need. First a new target, then broad heads and this week the cam. Lol

Yup, I went to Dick's in Danbury, CT last Saturday. I did not need a thing.  Ended up with lead egg sinkers (which I can't buy in NY), treble hooks, a wind indicator spray, etc.

Yes you can but if you want to go on a stalk..or even have to then it's still on and working..just pop it into the holster..You do know they make an audible clicking when you have to ignite the butane?...also always do that turn on butane and count at least 10 seconds before trying to start...it will save you aggravation...`
