Anybody using any calling tactics yet?

Just wondering if anyone is using any grunts or doe bleats or heck even some light rattling! Anyone?

I used doe bleat ....2 young ones comes running in.....that's it though

Probably some lite tapping in short bursts with the rattle , tapping not 200 class bucks in a death match .

this early im just lettin out a few soft young buck grunts a couple times at random...

I would say just use fawn bleats and doe bleats.

Going to try some calling, doe, fawn, and low soft contact grunt.  Did the Ma ma call last year with my mouth and called in 2 doe that busted me, fun calling deer.    Found a grunt tube I like for a contact call, I never used them that much but this one sounds good to me.  Primos buck roar, I have an adjustable one set to a higher pitch representing a immature buck for contact grunts I like too.  I like the snort tube on the roar for prime rut.  OK sleep time...

just a soft contact grunt every 30 mins. or so...very lite ticking on the rattle bag...going into the blind....in the dark I'll grab a sapling and shake the crud out of it......I find that just about light it will have deer coming into see where the rub might be...old timer taught me that...but he would tie a line to one and shake it from his blind or low stand...

Use a fawn bleat today right before sun down.  Big doe totally just ignored it.  Kept on eating 70-80 yards from me.  Not a care in the world.
