Tax breaks for renters?

Hmmm, tax breaks for those that dont pay property taxes. Unbelievable...isnt this state in need of income because its broke??? More entitlements....

Now-now .... easy .... the guy is just seeing to it that he buys his re-election with our tax money. He is promising anything and everything to anybody he can think of. It is a great way to buy votes and it doesn't cost his campaign war-chest one single cent. It's that time of year folks where the sitting Governor starts taking advantage of his incumbency. Of course the money will be made up somewhere. But there won't be any news coverage when that happens.

Which is then taken as a tax reduction by the landlord.  This is like Doc said, a scheme to buy him votes on our dollar

Exactly, the landlord gets the tax break for owning the property and paying the taxes. This does not cancel the landlord's tax break, or even reduce it.

Except that the landlord pays the same property taxes when the apartment is vacant as when it's rented.  It's not like his tax burden changes whether it's rented or not.

Ya ....I  know..but he really burns me....gives a me a head ache every time I hear his name...his image reminds me of a cross between the Joker and Lex Luther..The thought of him is like stepping in a gooy pile of dog crap..it just makes my stomachs retch...

If I didn't' t believe in an after life I'd seriously curse him...and a slippery side walk would be it's delivery. ..followed by a long stay in a care facility...

Yes.

 

Lower taxes  for all would be good. Property taxes on LI are out control. At some point there will be a mass exodus. They will break the middle class on LI, and they will have no choice to leave. For a relatively young family with a house, 100,000 a year is pretty much middle class.
