hunter
The show "Building Wild" on the National Geographic Channel is considering me for a show which will entail building me a cabin for about $10k. It is basically a freebie but you have to supply some labor and that amount. Problem is they don't have enough applications for my area, Central New York. I'm in Guilford near Sidney but anything in the area will be considered because they like to do a series of builds in one area. So if you have a piece of vacant land and never got to build your own please submit an application. They have links on their website so please send in an application. Maybe some of us can get a break.

hunter
Dominic - Good to talk with you this morning! I'm pasting below a little blurb about the show - feel free to share it with anyone you'd like. I'll keep an eye out for more submissions from your area, and I hope we'll be in touch again soon. -Brooke "Building Wild" is a fun, rugged new cabin-building series currently airing on National Geographic Channel Tuesdays at 9pm. The series features Paul DiMeo of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Hoosick Falls, NY native Pat "Tuffy" Bakatis. NOW, the series is looking for new build challenges in the YOUR area! In each episode of the show, Paulie and Tuffy - The Cabin Kings - meet a client who has a big, rugged piece of land and a dream of putting a cabin on that property. The Cabin Kings get it done in one week's time. If you have wild, remote acreage that would be a challenge to our crew, and a dream of your own wilderness getaway, we'd love to hear about it! Find more details here: http://www.cabin-kings.com/apply.php !

hunter
The towns I mentioned are up Rte 8 from Deposit about 15 miles. It's on the border of Chenango, Otsego and Deleware counties. I might not make the final cut but maybe some of you can benefit. Good luck.

catskillkid
Thanks, Hunter I sent the link to my brother. He has a nice 40 acre chunk of land just 10 minutes from you in Coventry. He would love to have a cabin built alongside his beautiful creek Edited February 7, 2014 by catskillkid
