StevieSacs
Was hunting with Rage 2 blades last year and was getting super frustrated with the rattling of the broad head and how they would sometimes come apart. I picked up a pack of the Killzone COC 2 blades and they feel much stronger and better built. Anyone use these and have any comments on em? Thanks! ants
I have had pretty good luck with the 2 blade Rage. I have never had one come apart and if they rattle, then the O-ring probably has to be replaced. That being said; there are a ton of good broad heads out there and Im sure that the Killzone is one of them. So use what you have confidence in. THHuntNY
I've never use one but I heard you don't get a lot of penetration with the kill zone because the retention spring that holds the blades takes a lot more force to open.

I have gotten pass throughs with the 2 blade Rage heads . My quiver holds the shaft in 2 places and I havn't had any blades rattle open . But ....... I always check the blades when I nock a hunting arrow .
oblivitar
Ive used the killzone with the trophy tip and they work awesome. Doesn't take a lot of force to open at all.
Qthehunter
I've used the NAP killzone since they came out a couple years ago and won't use any other broad head again. Very sturdy and quality piece. No issues with tuning as they shoot liked a field point. They don't open up inside your quiver either. Not sure on the penetration comment, I’ve harvested a half dozen deer with this broad head and have had pass-throughs every time. The last doe I shot couldn't of went more than 40 yards. Not going to turn this into a broad head war. All are good. Just need to put that arrow in the right place and they all work. If you are in the market for a new head give them a shot, you won't be disappointed. Edited July 31, 2014 by Qthehunter
THHuntNY
Well I might have to give 'em a try. They sound like a kick a** head
NYbuck50
I used them exclusively last year, 1st year as a rage convert. None of the 3 i shot went more than 50 yards with big holes. I like the no o-ring system and i feel its a better design than a rage. That being said, if you hit a deer good with any broadhead its not going to matter. turkeyfeathers
Not being a bowhunter I've got some stupid questions: What's the advantage of mechanical blades vs fixed? More cutting surface? Better penetration? A friend once told me that mechanical blades may not open properly, any truth to this. Every year I say I'm going to buy a bow and take the course, Every year I don't. Turkey hunting is my passion and everyone tells me I'd love it too.

Turkey hunting is my passion and everyone tells me I'd love it too. I'm not very good at explaining things so bear with me. I might be a little off on some things but a mechanical offers field point accuracy while some fixed heads often need tuning of your bow for them to fly accurately. With mechanicals there is room for failure but very rarely will that happen while fixed heads will cut each and every single time on contact. Mechanicals also offer a bigger cut then fixed blade heads. And if you like the challenge of hunting turkey adding the archery to it makes it that much more fun. Bow hunting in General is that much more fun. And once you pick up that bow you'll fall in love. I think all archers can say that
