308 rocks! I threw a boyds laminate stock on to match my grey socks!

The heel, butt and the toe of the stock all look good. And the toes in the socks seem okay too! The flare of the shorts seems a bit excessive however. However the fit of your rifle is more important. How does it fit? When your cheek hits the stock the scope picture should be "right there"!

The back part of the bolt on his rifle isn't from a Ruger American or Savage.  That looks like a Marlin to me. It also has an accu-type trigger.
