Winchester Super-X 150gr 30-06 Powerpoint

Just was curious if this was a good hunting ammo, I have been shooting it at the range, and so far this one and the Hornady American Whitetail 150-grain have been my 2 most accurate in my rifle.

Great round for whitetail. If it shoots well out of your rifle you will be fine.

Nothing too special but should work well like Culver said if you can get it to group well. Soft points are great for deer.

I haven't had any experience with the factory loads, but I have been loading the Win 150 power point in a 30-06 handload that approximates

factory load velocities for a friend for years.

It groups well and he's killed a bunch of whitetails, mule deer, antelope, caribou and 1 black bear with my handloads with no problems.

I would think that's a pretty fair endorsment for the bullet.

I have taken a few deer with that ammo in 30-06. It worked just fine. If it  flies good use it and good luck.

Similarly constructed bullet, the Sierra game Kings in the Federal Vitalshok work about like the Powerpoints.

I had great results with Win Powerbonds 150, I no longer shoot factory ammo but wouldn't hesitate to use them.

lol ok stop I am in tears. 

 

Each guns fires a little different.  For me the 165 grain works great.  That round will kill any deer if that's what shoots great in your gun then your all set.  Good luck!
