jimbo91
Ok i am looking for a good rifle scope, for hunting white tail... i am on a budget though, probably 200 being my max. Also i was thinking about putting a red dot or pro dot on my shotgun, anyone with experience with these types of scopes can you shed some light on them for me? thanks
biggamefish
Look at a whitetail classic by weaver I have one on my 3030 and it works great. Weaver is a great name
fasteddie
If you have somewhat of an idea of what brand / model scope you want sheck these sites for prices ....... http://www.natchezss.com/index.cfm http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/deptsearch3x.asp?dept=%4F%50%54%49%43%53&dept2=%53%43%4F%50%45%53&dept3=%52%49%46%4C%

Dinsdale
Another option is to find a higher price scope but at a discounted price. This guy deals in new and demo units that are fully warrentied and checked before sale. I have bought several products from him over the years both camera and hunting optics. http://www.cameralandny.com/ He updates a list several times a week here; http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/4541574/Camera_Land_s_Current_Sales#Post4541574 That Minox 3-9x40 plex is a very good deal for the price vs. quality of the optics. Dinsdale
Start by reading this; http://www.opticsplanet.net/how-to-choose-riflescope.html Give you some terms and understanding of numbers and such
SilentStalker
Where I come from a 3X9 is standard. And for the most part the scopes are all pretty good these days but some do standout from the crowd but so do the pricetags, but as you can see some have preferences. The only ones I have heard negative things about are Simmons. I personally have a Nikon, but as far as hunting NYS a 3X9 or 2X7 is the way to go in my book
WNYBuckHunter
Take a good look at the Vortex scopes, they are very affordable, quality scopes with a lifetime warranty. You wont be sorry, I would compare them to any super high end, expensive scopes any day of the week. You can find the best prices on them at swfa.com http://www.vortexoptics.com/ http://swfa.com/?gclid=CPWYhZfewKUCFUbf4AodW3txWw
