First Time Hunter Archery Kill: Video

Hey guys, here is our first kill episode of the 2014 season. Heather takes out her bow for the first time and kills her first deer! Could not be more proud, this is going to be some tasty meat!

Thank you, we will try! It is safe to say she is addicted. She called me at work and asked if she could go back out this weekend so it looks like we can add one to the ranks!

Tell her not to worry about the shot! I hit my frist archery deer years ago in the neck too

I will bet she becomes more relaxed & shoots better. 1st one always seems the hardest

Curious.  I noticed at the 5:30 mark that there was a second arrow in the deer that wasn't there before?  Mercy shot I'm guessing?

You would be correct, the deer was on its way out but I wanted to end it quicker. The follow up shot finished the deer almost immediately.
