Ammo for 300 Savage

Guys; yesterday, went to David and tried to purchase ammo for my Grandfathers old 300 Savage and guy says they dont make regular anymore cuz its an older Make/Model Deer Rifle. Any recommendations where I might purchase this?

Up to a few months ago you could go online, purchase and have your ammo shipped to your door, Hochul and her democrat cronies put and end to online ammo purchases.

Gunbroker is a good source for hard to get ammo but you will have to get it shipped to an FFL

I’m in the exact same situation with my grandfather’s rifle.  I have not found ammunition for it in over a year, are regret terribly not buying as many boxes as I could get my hands on when I first inherited it.  

If I do stumble over any out there I’ll be quick to let you know!

Hey Grampy. I think they see this as the second best way to get guns out of our hands. And, they have already been successful at the "first best way" which is to get our "votes" out of our hands.

More the problem is the demand for common hand gun  and rifle rounds that are flying off the shelf and more profitable. The older less in demand cartridges are much less a priority to manufacture.  Us black powder shooters are suffering the same issue just trying to get # 11 primers , which are only manufactured for a short period of time each year, and were not at all for a few years with covid.

Rumor has it that Hochul is going after reloading supplies after 1/1/24 and will require them to go thru an FFL too.

I have been preaching for years to anyone that would listen the Democrats were going after ammo and they are doing it, I was called a fear monger by one of the socialists that left and migrated to the other board. When they get the traditional lead bullets banned you will really see  big time shortages and prices beyond belief.
