Camo Truck Kits

Has anyone tried working with camo wraps like this www.camo4u.com - I would like to add a camo accent on my truck, just wondering if it is hard to install yourself...

I would get some smaller pieces of it and a fender or two from the junkyard to play around with before you spend a ton of money on it and end up ruining it.

There is a place near Watkins Glen (Beaver Dams) that will do it for you, and I don't think it that expensive to do.

dont know how hard it is to do yourself but i know there are plenty of places that do wraps out there and the prices to have them do everything is very reasonable...

Its not really that tough to do, its kind of like tinting your windows, but on a larger scale. Depending on how large of sections you are doing, you will need help. Cleaning and prep is important as well. It all depends on how much and what size parts you want to do. Unless you have a big garage and some buddies to help out, I wouldnt suggest trying a full size wrap for your first attempt. If you are just looking to do a stripe of some kind, or mouldings or something along those lines, you should be ok.

Helpful feedback thanks - I was leaning towards doing the camo dipping on them with this DIY dip kit - www.camodipkit.com - but someone suggested the Camo4u vinyl as a more affordable option. I ordered up a kit and will keep you posted on progress...
