I am starting to get quite irritated at the way this site has become choked up with pop-up ads. It is getting so that you have to spend more time collapsing these pop-ups than reading the forum content.

Doc its not just this forum. I get them at every other site I go to. Yes very annoying.

Perhaps, but there is a limit as to how much aggravation I am willing to put up with. To me it is like logging into a buggy site that relentlessly tortures you with errors. Eventually it reaches a point where you just refuse to tolerate it anymore. I am approaching that point.

I assume that it is Burmjohn who is allowing these adds to proliferate on this site, so maybe he has not really abandoned this site and still has some activity with it or perhaps has sold it to someone else who is just milking it dry. But I don't think these ads are just automatically placing themselves here. I don't know, perhaps the outfit that is supplying the internet space is doing it. But wherever they are coming from, I hope that someone is aware that there is a law of diminishing returns at work here to the point where people get a bit tired of being abused and start to lose interest in fighting all the aggravation of having ads pushed at them to the extent that is happening here.

Plain and simple for me. I just enjoy coming on to chat with all you fine people.

I never see any AD's , but I use Firefox maybe that's why ?
